All team personnel (players, coaches, administrators ) are provided with 2 tickets to the game. One of the meals is the Jeans, Boots, and Barbeque banquet held Friday night. Bands and cheer squads also receive financial assistance to attend and participate. Teams are responsible for transportation, additional nights in a hotel, and additional meals. We look to provide a D-I type bowl atmosphere for players, coaches, parents, and fans.
Sounds like a great event. Congrats!!

The Texarkana, Arkansas Advertising and Promotions Committee grants funding to the bowl from the City of Texarkana's 1 cent sales tax. Those funds, along with corporate sponsors, banquet, game ticket, and merchandise sales, allows the bowl to operate. The benefactor of the Farmer's Bank and Trust Live United Bowl is the United Way of Greater Texarkana and the bowl provides a financial donation each year. It was founded to operate this way and it continues to welcome football fans for what we believe to be a one of a kind experience the first weekend in December each year.

Assuming the MIAA gets (2) teams in the playoffs:

          1. Where would NW be in the Bowl Game Pecking Order?
          2. Does NW accept a Bowl Game bid if selected?
Right now, Inkblot Inkblot is only predicting one MIAA team to get in...NW might be down a bit on the bowl pecking order unless they just jump others bc they are NW, which can be understandable due to their history.

Inkblot is predicting what the first regional ranking will look like, not what the final regional ranking (the actual playoff field) will look like.

An outstanding bowl, Emporia State has been to the Live United Bowl. Great experience for the players, coaches, band, cheerleaders and fans. ESU coaches feel you owe it to your players and parents, making memories. Also got a few more practice days…
Every teams goal is to make the Playoffs, but the bowl game is a good incentive

Emporia State has been to the Live United Bowl twice and both times were outstanding experiences. Obviously you want to go to the playoffs but the way the people of Texarkana treat the teams is amazing. Police escort everywhere you go once you hit town, people greeting the teams as they arrive at the hotel, great food every time, fantastic community service events. It is a great reward for a team that feels like they should have made the playoffs but doesn't because of the regionalization problem of D2, especially when 44% of the D2Football.com top 25 are from this region. .

Would much rather see that sort of coverage for a school like GVSU, Ferris, Pitt, NW etc. Pair a big historically good school with an up and coming program and it could be a hit.

People would connect more with the players and coaches at this level rather than laughing at the ridiculousness that was Independence Juco.
                    That idea is MONEY!

Didn’t make it myself when MWSU played in the Live United Bowl, but everything I heard was outstanding.

I guess I get why a team would have a playoffs-or-nothing attitude, but it’s kinda crappy imo. There are a finite number of opportunities to play college football - if you love the game, saying yes to the chance to play one more time ought to be a no-brainer. To quote the inventor of football “you gotta do it for the kids!”

If by some miracle NW was invited we’d definitely make the trip to S AR
