Tell us where you think teams will be this year.

    Here's my guess.

Top tier:UCM and Pitt. I think the Mules lost more, but they loaded up on transfers. I give UCM the edge this year with Pitt installing a whole new O.

    FH ready to break through.

MW, MoSo, and NW are all dangerous.

ESU, UCO are both decent, but somehow clear down here in a super stacked conference.

WU and UNK both had a lot of room for improvement. That said, it's scary to realize that these 2, just a few years removed from being playoff teams, are what the MIAA has at the bottom.

i like central to win the league. pitt def could....idk what the new regime will look like, rn cm feels like a safer pick, one week in of course that could be proven foolhardy who knows.

the rest are also-rans unless co is finally ready to field a team commensurate with ad's pedigree. emporia/mw/fh are all good programs but not on the same level is the league's elite.

i expect more decline from us (or perhaps just spinning of the wheels) followed by changes this offseason. what changes...idk, hence the vague nature of the statement as to whether rw would get yet still more time with staff changes or if we'd finally move on. probl depends on how the future looks in terms of young talent in the program & its perceived trajectory.
    Go Bearcats!

I agree about UCM. Pitt has talent, but there are so many changes in the staff that it's anyone's guess how they'll finish. The D has continuity, so hopefully that gets them through while the O comes together.

I'm hoping the culture can stay in place and continue to improve through all the changes. I think that's the key to this season and the future for Pitt.

I mentioned it in another thread, but with Lincoln and Northeastern State out, the strength and balance in the conference top to bottom is crazy.

I graduated right as Lynn left, and it’s pretty clear that UNK has gone off a cliff.

I didn’t like the Held hire when it was announced, and like it even less now

Saw the preseason poll. When's the last time Northwest was picked to finish outside the top 2? Anyone know?

I think UCM is loaded, so pretty easy to call them number 1. Pitt has some serious questions on OL and WR. Defense should be stacked.

I do think MOSO is dangerous. Everytime I see Atiba talk this preseason, he has this little smile on his face like he knows something the rest of us don't. Just seems like a different vibe this year and an improving team with more confidence.

                  UCM returns a HH QB.
Pitt, FH, and MoSo all return good QB's

Anyone else, or are the rest of the teams going to have limited to no experience at QB?

He's a system guy, so I'll bet he gets 5 years, either way.

Reagan Jones is new to UNK but spent 2020-23 with Missouri Western. 8-6 record as a starter with the Griffs.

I remember him being a good runner with MW.

The biggest QB hole to fill is definitely Gleeson at ESU. He carried that team a lot.

MW QB will be tough to replace.

Maybe one of Pitts 8th String QB's can enter the portal quickly and enroll
