I take that back. They also have a UNI transfer and a UCO transfer listed.

Allegedly he's competing for a starting job with a transfer from Stony Brook that came in the Spring (Bryden I think?), but the way people near the program were talking about Gundy, I suspect it's his job to lose.

Losing Jay Harris to the Ducks is a huge loss to NW’s O but I’m not surprised he left and don’t begrudge him taking a shot. His biggest downside was a tendency to fumble when fighting for extra yards

MW QB will be tough to replace.
After 2015 season: You can't replace a Brent Wilson at QB for ESU. (Enter Braxton Marstall who won 11 straight games in between losses to one of the best NWMSU teams in 2016)
After 2018 season: Braxton Marstall was good but can ESU keep plugging in new QBs? (Enter Braden Gleason who set about every passing record in ESU history and was the first QB to win nine games in back to back years)
After 2023 season: Braden Gleason carried ESU a lot.
Higgins has said that 1-4 this is the most talented QB room he has ever had - and the 2015 room had three guys that would eventually earn Offensive Player of the Year honors in a D2 conference (Wilson 2015 MIAA, Ty Reasnor 2017 GAC at Ark Tech, Marstall 2018 MIAA). This is the first time Higgins has had a transfer QB in the mix to start the season since 2009 and if senior Chase Ricke earns the spot he will be the oldest first time starter for ESU in a long time.

You are comparing the guy who holds the low score at the local 9 hole muni course to Tiger Woods.

Not to put him down but Gleason was never a first team All-MIAA quarterback. Not sure that fits the Tiger Woods vs. muni player analogy.

Shout out Lamberson for turning it around in two years, but he was not left the **** storm Atiba was, so
Atiba > Lamberson.
1. UCM (by a land slide)
2. Pitt State (Not really sure but QB play is there)
3. UCO (Shout out Dawson Herl)
4. Northwest Missouri State (check coaches search history)
5. Missouri Southern
6. Fort Hays (Toss up with Southern)
7. Missouri Western
8. Emporia State (prove me wrong without lefty)
9. Washburn
10. Kearney

3. UCO (Shout out Dawson Herl) - Possible, but they didn't earn the #3 spot last season heading into 2024.
4. Northwest Missouri State (check coaches search history)
5. Missouri Southern - I will grant you Southern is improving under Atiba and they did upset MWSU in 2024, but come on they weren't even .500 last season. Like UCO, I don't think they have earned this spot yet. That could change soon, but I don't think they should be placed over Hays, Western, and probably not Emporia either who went 9-3 last season. I know they lost Gleason, but Gary Higgin's track record with replacing star QBs is impressive.
6. Fort Hays (Toss up with Southern)
7. Missouri Western - I get we lost our QB, but really? Went 8-4 and probably only missed the playoffs by one loss. Our new/old head coach Fenwick (OC under JP during his heyday) was a great hire. The disrespect is ridiculous...
8. Emporia State (prove me wrong without lefty)
9. Washburn
10. Kearney

I do agree that Higgins has a fantastic history of developing QB's. Maybe ESU will be fine, but Gleeson is a really big loss, so Ima need to see it.
