It was a fake punt & 5 wasn't expecting the ball because it was snapped on the wrong count.

Plus we ran that very stupid fake punt fumbleroosky. There was absolutely no emotion both on the field and off the field. That was the worst performance by a Bearcat team since the early 90's.

I’d say worst since Mel’s 1st year( the 0-11 season in ‘94). Mel’s 6-5 year in 95 had a whole different feel than this years fiasco. After losing 13 in a row they went 6-3 the last 9 games. That 6-5 brought hope and excitement of what was to be. This 6-5 felt like the death throes of a once great program.

Considering the circumstances, I imagine it was both. D was playing lights out, didn’t want to risk getting our BU hurt in a must win game and end up like ESU did against NWMSU. Hopefully Dodson can go this week. I imagine we will be getting either Harding our Ouachita for our matchup. I hope OBU. Nutt and Anthony haven’t been stellar against heavy option teams…

The only option team they played was unk, but yeah, they gave up over 20 to TJ Davis.

At this point, who knows? We know RW’s in limbo because he didn’t get a contract extension and the season has ended, so technically is he off a contract now?

If and when it happens, pretty sure it will have to come down to Tatum pulling the trigger, because Peterson likely won’t.

To be fair, they strictly ran the ball for half of the game, and only let the BU throw screens when they got in 3rd and long.

It was a strange game. Play calling in the first half was really good. The second half was terrible. I understand they were playing keep away, but they were doing it by being so conservative on O that they had no chance of moving the ball, and playing a soft zone on D, letting NW eat clock with short throws instead of controlling the ball with their O.

I'm not sure if they were that unconfident in the BU qb, or just super confident in the D?
