We added an oct 31 game against naia Langston University ( Oklahoma's public hbcu). It's a short road trip two and half hour near OKC. Not great but cost efficient and good for recruitment in OKC metro

Hope Northeastern State can get that waiver for the playoffs with only 7 D2 Games.

FWIW I think there's a good chance they and Delta State get the waiver; West Florida's late move seems like the sort of extenuating circumstance that would usually be sufficient.

Honestly it's not my biggest concern. I'm wanting to see a winning record. This schedule isn't going to be easy. But for long term growth and success, having 2 winning seasons in a row with a lot of home grown starters is vital to us.

The chatter from some people i was told was that a waiver for playoff is more then likely and i wouldn’t be suprised if they ended up getting their region switched for the playoffs if they make it

makes sense for Nsu to play an naia since uco is playing one

Yeah because region 2 is definitely short of teams

That would be a weird switch since Northeastern State are in the middle of SR4 country and are flexible to pair with most conferences with the 600 mile travel rule.

I think one of the GAC schools would be a better candidate to do with an SR2 switch with.

Delta State, West Alabama, and Albany State are all within 600 miles of Harding.

Yeah the GAC even though the institutions are all relatively similar with exception of Harding kind of straddles the line between the established National perspective of what South East and what's not.
Honestly they really should move the GAC to the region to because region 2 doesn't have enough teams

How do the rules allow that? Seems incredulous. Especially since we have had only a couple region switches in the last few years.

If one of the three remaining GSC teams earn their way in, I wouldnt see a need for a switch there unless a swap makes sense for the overall normal 600 mile limit plane ride perspective.

Northeastern State is more than 600 miles away from most of the SR2 universities out there so that would be a deterrent.

Northeastern State is a less than 600 mile bus ride to most of the universities in SR4.

but considering that 4 of their games are against SR3 schools and they play 2 SR2 schools and only one against SR4 if i had to guess the move would more then likely be to SR3 if it was to happen. not necessarily sure what strings could be pulled in regards to that but something to think of

I am for this. Amen. Hallelujah.

That being said, they have only done the region swap thing once that I am aware of with SR4 and it was with SR3 in 2021.

Central Washington was sent to Northwest Missouri State and Kearney was sent to Western Colorado which they won but lost to Angelo State next round.
