Another sweep for the Buffs over UTPB. 14-0 overall and 12-0 in LSC. Buffs can hit the baseball and pitching has been good. Coach V also has had the luxury of being able to get a look at a lot of players which should help as the season goes along. Toughest series to date coming up this weekend at home. Get out and watch them. Go Buffs!

Buffs take 3 of 4 from UAFS. Overall 19-3, LSC 17-3 and leading the conference. Hitting the ball very well, but relief pitching is a concern. Coach V is trying a lot of different guys to find some consistency. Face Oklahoma Christian at home next weekend. Go Buffs!

Game time for the Buffs DH is 4 pm. A bonus is the opportunity to watch the outstanding WT track teams before the baseball game.
The West Texas A&M track & field programs will wait an extra day to open their 2022 outdoor campaign with a schedule change made to the WT Spring Break Classic.
The home meet was originally scheduled for Friday, March 18 has been moved back a day and will now be hosted on Saturday, March 19 at the WTAMU Track & Field Complex in Canyon starting at noon.

WT split with LCU this past weekend leaving the Buffs tied for first in LSC with ASU. Both are 25-7. Pitching, especially relief, is still a major concern. While the Buffs scored 26 runs and had 39 hits in the 4 game series, they gave up 22 runs and 43 hits. That's more than 7 runs and nearly 11 hits per game. The Buffs are a good hitting team and can score a lot of runs, but the hitters need some help. WT travels to ASU this weekend. If pitching doesn't improve, it might be a tough road trip.
