He will never be a P. Manning, Brady, Montana, etc..... BUT with the team built around Zeke, the Boys are not looking for that. They just need a guy who can make plays with arms & legs when needed. And a guy who can get the team fired up. THAT is Dak.
Was Hall of Fame QB, and 3 time Super Bowl winner Aikman better than Prescott? I compared their first 3 years below:

Maybe Prescott is better than you think.
Stats are like bikinis... what they don't show you is far more interesting than what they do.
The biggest weakness I can see about Dak is his arm strength. He does NOT throw the ball deep with any kind of velocity. Definitely not like Aikman or even Romo. Look how many of Dak's "deep" passes were batted away because they float too long allowing the DBs enough time to catch up and make a play on the ball. Think about the game against Hou. I agree about everything else you've stated about Dak. He seems to be a really good leader and the team seemed to accept his role as leader from day one. Dak seems to have a really good head on his shoulders and will definitely leave it all on the field. What he lacks in ability (deep ball) he seems to work really hard to make up with game smarts.

Cowboys need to hire Kingsbury as OC and QB coach. A successful 2 or 3 year run as Dallas OC, and see him really develop Prescott, and he'd be in the running for an NFL HC gig.
This is very perplexing. It's sure not my Cardinal money hiring KK (now). What a leap by an NFL team. The owners might as well have pulled a wild hair out of their azz.

Best of luck to the Cards. And good for KK hitting a big payday. But wow, even Lane Kiffin has a better resume.
Re: Off Season & OT Thread.....everything else
This is something I haven't thought of that might be looming in the minds of many around college football and the NFL. Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield spent time under KK and have been very successful in the NFL. The thought process may be that KK can elevate the level of play at QB and that will equate to winning. Once again, where he is a really good offensive mind, he tends to forget that there are other moving parts that need to be addressed to be a really good HC.

From what I've read, that's the mindset of some NFL owners

As he proved at Tech? Either Tech as a program is 3rd rate or Kliff The Klunker is.
So, where does their football program end up. From earlier articles it was stated that the WAC would have to find a place for their football before Dixie State would make such a move. I believe it is the scenario that played out with Tarleton State. Two questions: 1. Is the WAC going to finally start sponsoring FCS? 2. Is Dixie State going to drop football?
I know the WAC just hired away a Big Sky asst Commissioner to aid Hurd and my thinking at the time was this guy going to start moving WAC back toward football. There is a lot of undercurrent going on to preserve the WAC.
