Got home in time to watch the last 5 mins of the NK -WSC. Size and speed looked similar to MD. NR quarterback looked real good

Good evening Rams fans. Congrats on your win today. I'm going to copy over the summary of the Lopers I posted on the RMAC board for the Western Colorado game.

A little background on the Lopers. This is a team on #TheRise under head coach Josh Lynn, a name you probably recognize from his time at Eastern New Mexico. He took over a team that had gone 0-11 and 1-10 in the two years prior to his arrival and has made remarkable progress in short order, going 3-8, 5-6, 7-5 (Mineral Water Bowl win), 2-0 (COVID year) and now 10-2.

This year's UNK team is led by QB TJ Davis, who does a masterful job running the team's modern option offense. He's an extremely shifty runner who is dangerous in the open field. And this year, he's taken big strides as a passer. With teams selling out to stop the run, he's made some big plays in the passing game and is actually the most efficient passer in D2.

The Loper defense has been streaky this year. They've played well at times, but they've also had games where they simply could not get off the field. This was most apparent in the two losses, where they couldn't stop Fort Hays in the second half or Northwest Missouri the entire game.

The Lopers go as Davis goes. He's going to need to have a great game for UNK to have a chance.

VERY, VERY, VERY familiar with Lynn, his offense, defense, and coaching. With good talent, which he had little at ENMU, he could be dangerous. Which appears to be the current Lopers.

This should be a very interesting game of chess between two coaches very familiar with each other. Personally.....I could see this game going either way.

I was VERY impressed with NK going on the road. Into higher altitude, and beating Western Colo. Anything 7k or above can really effect athletic performance.

I am interested to see the battle in the trenches. And NK's (Lynn's) O against Angelo's D.

            Angelo by 10+.

              Good luck rams!

This game will officially give angelo state more home playoff games this season than commerce had during the last 6 year playoff run. I'm not bitter or anything haha

When Lynn was at ENMU he has success against ASU. But, when the triple option went up against the better athletic teams like TAMUC and later Tarleton they were no match. Angelo State offense will score and its up to the ASU defense to stay discipline playing a man to man type of football that eliminates the fakes. Unfortunately for Lynn the former coach no longer resides at ASU. So, any success in the past will not be an indicator. Best hope for Lopers is the unfamiliarity of the offensive scheme. ASU by two scores 34-21.

Agree. Angelo has a much more solid defense than previously.

I still think their strength is in the trenches. We'll see.

The lack of size up front on defense for Kearney will be an issue for them against the ASU run game. This game has a chance to be a quick one with the amount of running that will be done. With Kearney running triple option football it has the chance to limit offensive possessions by ASU which could prove beneficial for them. I like ASU in this but in a close game 24-14.

Agree. However, if they are quick and play a 53, then size won't matter.
