It is obvious that something is wrong with WT athletics program. Something has changed recently that has caused the basketball programs to turn into pumpkins. What has caused the clock to strike midnight?

In December people were talking about WT men’s basketball winning a national championship, now we lose to utpb! I believe that is the first loss ever to utpb in basketball.

Friend of mine is one of the WT's largest contributors and sez new athletic director is apparently a complete jerk to everyone inside and outside of the department. Zero people skills, know-it-all, rude,condescending, control freak, completely disorganized. I don't know first hand but supposedly fired a guy that had relationships with most of the donors right before Christmas and brought in some stooge from Grand Valley. Wanted to bring more but apparently no one else wanted to come. My source sez WT is in for a nuclear winter in athletics, will be quite a mess to clean up once this guy is gone whenever that is.

I find this hard to believe because what others have said about you on the MIAA board, you have no friends....

I don't think anyone said that. I said it sounded like a better hire than the previous finalists, but for some reason they didn't include me as an interviewer.

Paraphrasing but the follow up posts after his hire indicated that peeps were hopeful he was going to bring in the next Don Carthel if Lynn continued to stumble next year. Now it looks like most of the athletic programs are in danger now.

I posed this question to other WT long time die hard followers of the program.

I asked if other schools were using the basketball transfer portal to quickly catch up on talent alone.

WT men’s basketball team is 2-5 for the last 7 games. Are we even going to qualify for the LSC tournament? WT administration for the past 15 years has always said that D2 is where they want to be so they can win National Championships. Well currently all the major sports are middle of the road LSC and not a National Championship contender.

If the Horse and Equestrian teams start to falter then it will be the end times and time to send WT to the D3 abyss.

They should qualify even if they are a low seed. The bottom half of their split division they should dominate and the other bottom half isnt that strong either.

How the heck did this guy get hired... did he fake it in the interview process. Fire him before it gets even worse. Saw today Tarleton is playing Army at West Point next year and to think WT was in same conference as Tarleton and ACU and here we are sinking lower. WT should be at the top of D2 or in FCS
