I am totally sure I've never heard of Gardner-Webb before today. After looking them up, I wonder if he's doing the right thing. This is a tiny religious school that evolved from Boiling Springs High School and has an enrollment of "over 3000".

Interestingly, the student body is 2/3 female.

Good luck to Coach McCullough. He did a fantastic job at UTPB.

I wonder if Gibson will follow his coach.

Some of that could help recruiting…

            Wow!

They have made the NCAA tournament in basketball several times so that is how I have heard of them.

I immediately thought of Gibson and how many other players will enter the portal.

Looks like game on and pick a LSC winner out of a hat in 2026 from the top 5 teams.

Congrats to him for the promotion (money-wise). I suspect he could take his entire UTPB roster and have similar results at GW, but it is a D1 job.

Also, what’s the over/under on years there? He’s in the transfer portal as much as anyone. Haha

If you want to move up to a FCS job GW is as good a place as any to get started. They went to the FCS playoffs in 2023.

This sucks. But I understand. Thank you Coach Mccollough for a great 3 years. I hope UTPB doesn't fall back to the 5-6 team they were before. Excited that Kannon Gibson is back though.

GW is the North Carolina equivalent of UMHB. Southern Baptist, expensive, good school.

Looks like either WOU & WT should win it all, huh?

If the OC for UTPB and Gibson stay, I think it swings back UTPB's direction.

So then you think WT will be 2nd?

Mccollough calls the plays, sounds like he's taking OC and DC with him. WT OC left today as well. LSC is WIDE OPEN
