I don't know anything about the interim except that I see he is a Sawyer holdover who has been in the program since the 90s. That's huge for the Warriors, just a month before signing day.

He was a defensive coordinator for a long time then moved over to special teams last year. Former player too in the 90s. I think he would have a lot support from current and former players.

That's critical for program stability this late in the recruiting cycle. I'm sure Bergstrom could poach some guys, but there shouldn't be a mass exodus.

I'm curious if he applied when Sawyer retired. Been with the program for a long time so I would think he has the qualifications and more important stability.

Not surprised...Really was fond of coach Poapoa's work as OC. RB coach Bradshaw is popular with players.

I had heard this rumor a couple weeks ago. I also heard Jackson was a tough sell at SDSU for the board of regents.

Concordia-St. Paul guy Travis Johansen was named as his replacement. Golden Bears alum who also recruited Zach Moore to the team.
