I was excited to see the Golden Bears coming out to IL for a game against Quincy. After relocating to IL I never thought CSP would play a game near me again. Glad and surprised this is happening.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View Post

Not that anybody is interested in the CSP Bears besides me, but I'll say that this schedule is rough on them. The teams that they have beaten in recent memory appear to be road games this year, while the home games are against the winning or established programs. Looks like a tough year to be a Golden Bear.

The Golden Bears are part of the NSIC, which makes them of interest to many of us. Appreciate that you're a regular poster.Originally posted by Father_BearClaw View PostNot that anybody is interested in the CSP Bears besides me, but I'll say that this schedule is rough on them. I second what vikingfaithful said. We are glad to have voices for all teams. Appreciate all the posters, even if I disagree with a few of them lol!Originally posted by Father_BearClaw View PostNot that anybody is interested in the CSP Bears besides me, but I'll say that this schedule is rough on them. By my count, Jamestown and Mary are the only two NSIC teams without a known non-conference game by now. Has anyone heard anything on that front? I understand pickings are probably very slim at this point, if not nonexistent, but could they be planning to play each other twice during the season, or just sticking to a 10 game schedule?

Mary posted their schedule not even 24 hours after I posted this. Go figure. The Marauders are playing NAIA Midland University in Bismarck Week 0Originally posted by Finchwidget View PostBy my count, Jamestown and Mary are the only two NSIC teams without a known non-conference game by now. I thought the Jimmies had an NAIA game as well, but after you posted the question, I couldn’t find anything on it. Seems like an NAIA matchup with an old rival or something would be a good ideaOriginally posted by Finchwidget View Post

You'd certainly think so, that was one of the first places I checked too. Valley City is playing Dickinson State a second time out of conference next season; the fact that they decided to do that instead of attempt to renew the Paint Bucket rivalry for another season almost makes me wonder if there's bad blood there nowOriginally posted by CollegeFBGuy View Post

The league hammered a square peg into a round hole.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View Post
:) Nah, Jamestown isn’t the target. They put themselves in a situation where they burned bridges and the NSIC opened their arms to them without needing to. Seems like an excellent addition!
