That blows! If actually plays great, if he is a practice dummy he should have stayed at BSU on a great team.

I noticed that SMSU picked up a transfer WR from Division I Northern Illinois this week. Began his career at D3 Concordia-Wisconsin, so I'm not exactly expecting too much (also the fact that he picked SMSU, to be honest).

But, if a practice dummy is getting NIL money? I have heard stories of backup linemen at SEC schools pulling in high five to six figure NIL deals. Probably not going to be getting that at Illinois, but, there could be something there. Or, Illinois sees something in him, and you can't coach size, which he definitely has.

There is a lot to unpack here…I have heard that some schools have looked at his size (and length of arms) and athleticism and see him as a great OT body with high potential. We know he visited Baylor. He had confirmed offers from South Dakota, South Dakota State, New Mexico, Baylor, and Illinois.

From a source close to the him, New Mexico offered $50,000 per year, plus the full ride. Haven’t been able to confirm anything with Illinois yet.

i hope he does well, will be following closely. Not a fan of Brett Bielema, but I don’t have to like him

i have mentioned it already, but it really sucks for D2 teams and coaches that the portal never closes. D2 should have the same calendar protections the D1 schools expect and have built in.

SMSU picked up a Transfer QB from California in January and he is on campus. Depth needed at QB. I hear he look good.

I heard Marcus Hansen is back in the league. Couldn't live up to Harding's code of ethics I guess. Mankato keeps getting richer

Nothing official but his X account shows Mankato as his location and nothing to do with Harding anymore, and his Harding page has been deleted ....

I guess unless we somehow face off again in the playoffs he won't have to face his former team, so that eases things I'm sure
