Well the new HC will be thrown into the fire right out of the chute. Playing at GVSU. I suspect Mines will have some continuity on staff, but what a test.

Is the OC staying on board?

Any further word on the Mines gig? With a coach retiring..and them knowing this well in advance (as stated by the AD)..I'm a bit surprised they didn't have something lined up yet..seeing as the season finished for the Diggers on Dec 11th.

So, any trends on direction for new coach? I wonder if they had someone in line already?

Wishing you the best coach! Thanks for taking football to new heights at Mines. Hopefully the winning tradition can continue.

I grew up in Golden for a few years during the 80's when Mines was not very good but I still went to games and cheered. Never saw a winning season. It has been nice to see them really succeed and put a winning program on the field for the last two decades. I know Coach Brandon was a big part of that and he will be sorely missed there. Hope that whoever replaces him realizes how much that program means to the area and will be able to continue to recruit and coach kids for success.

Considering the OC was a finalist at Winona State..and didn't take the job....I'm guessing he may very well the guy the go with next. I'm betting on them not wanting to change things much,

Man that's sudden (at least from the outside). Loved how his teams played. Hope they don't experience a big drop off with the new coach.
