Let some Michigan star transfer to Ohio State. See how that goes down.
I think him picking WL is hilarious. Ultimate middle finger to WJ and Danny Sancomb at CAL.

Hopefully folks are going to college to improve their career opportunities and fulfill their dreams.
Regardless of where he goes, he should make the decision based on his best overall assessment of the situation that will maximize his career opportunities whether it is basketball in Europe or getting a job in the private sector; the academic reputation of the school, the placement % and the salary prospects for graduates are critical factors, IMHO.
Real world example: I had a friend who was working on PhD in biochemistry at Duke. Vanderbilt lured the advising professor away, where they gave the professor a state of the art lab. The friend followed the professor to Vanderbilt. That certainly was not being a traitor! BTW, the friend got PhDs from both schools!

Re: West Liberty Hilltopper Basketball
Thanks for the info. The only thing I think I know is he will be practicing and taking part in everything but of course not competing in games for this season then having 2 years left to play. Of course I reserve the right to be wrong.

I also don't think DII has a five year clock like D1 does. The D1 clock for a player starts ticking on the first day they enroll in an accredited college and continues even if the player stops going to college. I'm pretty sure that there is no five year clock for DII players although it WOULD affect a DII player who transferred up to a D1. I'm also pretty sure there is some sort of age limitation on D1 eligibility but I don't have any clue on how that works.
NCAA also has what seems like a moving definition of "participation" and "competition." WLU's QB Amedro seemed to play FOREVER after transferring from App State due in part to how the NCAA interpreted "competition"...Other side of the coin WLU WR Walls who "seemed" to have one more season of eligibility but the NCAA ruled that he did not.
Bottom line is that D1 and DII eligibility is different and not as straight forward as we often think it is.Last edited by boatcapt; 06-30-2018, 08:50 AM.

Remember they pick the school and not the coach. Wink wink.

If I was WJ .. I'd block him. Grant release but no MEC transfer. Why spoon feed your "shut the hill up" rival.

PSAC (and most D2) require you sit out a year for an inter-conference transfer.
