Was the Gannon announcer yelling at the refs again while live on the air? Lol.

Boro got that big road win in the Hammermill ... Staunch went for 13 points and 10 boards.

    Scots aren't dead yet.

Keep in mind, they have Clarion upcoming but also IUP, SRU and Mercyhurst.

We'll see if that 'goon' can carry the load.

I'm thinking that Seton Hill at Mercyhurst is probably the best game of the day.

If you do plan on watching one today, I'd strongly suggest the 4 p.m. game down in WV between Concord and Fairmont State. It will resemble the NBA rookie all-star game last night but it will be exciting.

    Re: PSAC WEST

Tomorrow may be the worst slate of games of the season, but there are some important ones for the lower tier teams.

Bloomsburg at Millersville - Unless Cheyney shows up again dressed as the Marauders, this won't be close. Millersville -18

UPJ at California - The first meeting in Johnstown was a bloodbath - the hosts hammered the Vulcans. This shouldn't be much different. The frustrations of the IUP loss get taken out on the hosts. Mountain Cats put on a clinic in the Angelo Dome. UPJ 89 REFS 62

Slippery Rock at Clarion - Clarion just gave a 'we're done' performance down at Salem, WV. They may want to save time and not show up for this one. Slippery Rock wins big. Real big. Rock -33

Mansfield at Kutztown - If Anthony Lee wants to catch Amir Hinton for the national scoring leader, here's a good chance to make some headway. Lee will go for 45+ in this one. Golden Bears pad some stats. Kutztown -31

Lock Haven at Shippensburg - Fool me once, ... Shippensburg won't be fooled twice. One more slip-up to an average team and Chris Fite can put away his dance shoes. This will be a focused group of Red Raiders. Lock Haven bored them to sleep in the first meeting and it worked. It won't happen again. Shippensburg -16

Seton Hill at Mercyhurst - The Lakers were due for a dud and it finally came inside Morrow Field House. Unfortunately for Seton Hill, they are going to pay the price for it. The Griffins will put up some points in this game. They have the shooting to break up the Triangle and Blondin drives the basket as well as anybody in the league. The first meeting was a blowout win for Mercyhurst. Seton Hill, however, is much better now. This will be an entertaining game for 30 to 32 minutes. Mercyhurst just has too much depth and Seton Hill will get hit with a combination of foul trouble and fatigue. Mercyhurst gets back on track. Lakers -9

Edinboro at Gannon - This is do or die time for Edinboro. After this game, the Fighting Scots get Clarion but also trips to Slippery Rock and Mercyhurst and a home date with IUP. They lose this one in the Hammermill and and that's all she wrote. Cleary and the boys have to win this one, beat Clarion and pull an upset against one of the Top 3. The home loss to Seton Hill was devastating. Tough game to pick. The first meeting in McComb was pretty close. Edinboro is playing better now and Gannon is way too unpredictable. Edinboro gets a rare win in the 'Mill. Fighting Scots -5

Well, the Cal folks should be used to playing games in front of 80 people...

That is total speculation on their part and I wholeheartedly agree. The home tournament games put a lot of weight on the regular season, which is appropriate. Playing a single site would give one team or two a huge advantage. For most of the years Gannon was played in the GLIAC, the tournament was played in Battle Creek, Michigan with games on weekday afternoons in front of a few dozen fans. The Knights had some strong teams then under Jerry Slocum and we never got to see a postseason game at home.

Where would it even be? Hershey? Harrisburg somewhere?
