Quite the box score in this classic.
That's the score at the second media time out of a West Liberty game.
I was at that game. There were 5 points (3 GU, 2 MU) in the last 8:15.
Gannon shot 3/21 with 8 turnovers in the second half. Goodness, it was awful. You had to be there to believe it. . I was just about to eat lunch, but lost my appetite thinking about that game.

This was the shot ... but a big man short. Next year will likely be a total rebuild in the Boro.

Re: PSAC WEST
I like Clarion. I didn't have it in me to put a big number in there. Put it this way ... betting real money ... I'd probably take Clarion +19.5 points.
The West is much better this year. It couldn't have got much worse than last season.
IUP also isn't its normal dominant team but is still very strong on any given night. Joe hasn't lost to a West team in a very long time ... it may be over 20 games now. But, it's coming. He's escaped three already this season.
Based on the current standings I still consider Joe the favorite to win the West. They won't run the table but they also won't lose many more. The loser of Rock and Boro tomorrow is going to be in a big hole.
I can see Joe possibly losing at SRU and splitting with Gannon. The road wins at UPJ, Cal and Boro were huge. He gets Boro, Cal and UPJ all at home in Round 2. They don't lose at the KCAC often -- especially with the crowds back. I assume Gannon and Rock will also split.

Extended mental lapses and continued self-inflicted wounds keep many opponents in games far longer than they should. There's no better example than what happened at the Angelo Dome. This should be a blowout but it probably won't. Clarion, which has a history of playing Joe tough, sticks around for awhile -- but IUP has far too much. IUP -10 in what likely will be a closer game than many think (or should be).

Up Next - PSAC West
Millersville at Gannon - The Golden Knights are red hot -- winners of 8 straight. Millersville (6-12) has been tough at times this season -- and awful at others. A tough 7-game stretch follows for GU. The Marauders keep this close for a bit but not close enough. Gannon -9
Edinboro at Slippery Rock - The Fighting Scots looked a little hung over against Clarion. Slippery Rock missed three straight foul shots at the end of regulation -- ultimately losing to UPJ in overtime. Very interesting match-up in this one at Morrow Field House. The Rock is going to have a monstrous advantage in the post. Edinboro's guard trio better not miss many shots. SRU's defense will wreck some havoc and there's no answer on the Edinboro roster for Micah Till. It's imperative for Edinboro to start fast in this game. SRU is a deadly team if it dictates the pace. Seems like this would be a logical Saturday night, primetime game. Instead, it will be at 3 p.m. in front of nobody. The Rock is tough at home. Till will have a stat sheet field day. SRU is in the early stages of a brutal stretch and needs this one. The Rock has proven it can play with anybody -- but's it's also proven it can't finish games out. Guards win in basketball. Edinboro's are much better. Fighting Scots get a rare win at Morrow. Edinboro -2
UPJ at Seton Hill -- Call this the Iron Man game. Both teams are solid through the first 5-6 players. Neither has a bench. This will be an easy one for the scorekeepers. There won't be many substitutions. UPJ is slowly turning the corner and finishing some games -- winners of two straight (Mercyhurst and SRU). The Griffins are tough in most games for about 30 minutes -- until they run out of steam and there's no bench. Seton Hill will stay in this game but Issac Vescovi will be a major problem. UPJ gets the road win -- in a tight one. UPJ -7
California at Mercyhurst -- Polar opposites. Mercyhurst has very limited offense. Cal plays very limited defense. It's still baffling Cal Coach Kent McBride elected to start the IUP game in a soft zone -- and stayed in it far too long. The Lakers' 'junk' defense will frustrate Cal. Offensively, Cal is at its best in a fast-tempo, run-and-gun style game. It's a difficult task to play that way against Mercyhurst. The Lakers thrive in confusion, and as Joe Lombardi says, they make everybody 'dysfunctional.' on offense. Tough game to call. Cal scores just enough to win. Vulcans -2
Clarion at IUP -- The only night game in the PSAC, on paper, this certainly appears a mismatch. On the court, however, who knows. IUP loves the dramatic -- nearly every night. Re: PSAC WEST
Check out the UPJ vs SRU box score. Game went OT.
UPJ played 6 players .... 4 of which played all 45 minutes.
That's incredible.
