As VSU wins the whole thing then there will be no surprises.
You think that a team that is 12-14 overall, 5-12 in conference, and on an 8-game losing streak is the second best in the conference?

And what exactly is "The Formula??" And don't say PI because if that was the case the top 10 last week would have been:

      IUP
      WLU
      VA State
      Mercyhurst
      WCU
      ESU
      Ship
      SRU
      NDC
      Bowie

As that was not the Regional Rankings, clearly the PI is not "The Formula."

Chowan really crapped the bed the past month. The CIAA lets every team in their conference tournament, correct?

But do #2 & 3 also lose in your example?

For WCU to move down, someone has to move past them. Who should? 6 & 7 lost. 8 is a team they have the same record as and have beaten head to head. Moving #9 or 10 into the top 5 seems like an overreaction.

WCU may well move down, but to me them staying put makes sense.

Just think in 48 hours the great West Chester No. 5 seed debate will be solved. And, then, they play Shippensburg a few hours later. Fun for us, a whole new debate starts at 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

I was referring to #8 in the current rankings not in BigIndians projection

Fairmont has one more loss than WCU and Fairmont lost to NDC which is moving behind them in this argument. So is Fairmont really good enough to move ahead of WCU. NO!

and no PI is not the formula.

The gasoline on this fire is that MEC is only getting two teams in based off the projected rankings. That's the bottom line.

And ... when Shaw, Virginia Union or Bowie State wins the CIAA Tournament none of it will matter. LOL.

There are a lot of Virginia State fans in the Atlantic right now. I can promise you that much. Pure chaos if they go down.

Maybe one. Figure ND is going to lose again Wednesday at WL.

I was actually saying two based on what you project for this week (WL and FSU). It could end up being one, especially if the CIAA has a tourney Cinderella.

Don't forget the 'metric' that allegedly doesn't (but does) exist: the eye test. Every year we hear about 'how they finished'.

Assume ND loses at WL and again in the MEC Tournament ... that's a lot of late losses.

Short but long way to go.
