UC's McCormick is a heck of an all-around player. Her step back is wicked, great penetrator and can play defense.

UC goes up 80-71 with 2:39 to go. UC is shooting 60% from the field.

UC up 80-77 with 28 seconds to go. Key play: UC up 8 points and breaks the press with 23 seconds on the shot clock and one of their guards shoots a 3 and misses when they could have run clock.

UC gets the girl they want at the line.....a 96% FT shooter.....and she misses both. Glenville rebounds and calls a timeout down 3 with 20 seconds left.

Wow what a game!

UC does it again. They upset the #1 team in the country and win the MEC women's championship 80-77. UC gets the automatic bid.

I don't know what the formula is for this second year head coach at UC is but she gets her team playing well at the end of the season.

Charleston leads West Liberty 29-28 at the half. Score in high 20s favors UC.

West Liberty hasn't had any type of run. You figure they will have a couple in the second half.

UC shot 4 of 11 from the free throw line in the 1st half. That could come back and bite them. They also missed a couple of bunnies.

Charleston roared out to a 43-35 lead in the 2nd half. West Lib goes on an 8-0 run to tie it at 43 with under 10 remaining.

West Liberty leads 54-51 with 4:48 left. UC ball out of the timeout.

West Liberty wins the MEC men's championship 70-59 over UC. A lot closer than the final score, but a good win for West Lib. Probably a good win for West Lib. The press didn't bother UC. West Liberty had to grind out a win which I think helps them for the regional. West Lib gets 3 wins this week....two over regionally ranked foes. It will be interesting to see how the committee seed 1 & 2. I think WV State still gets in. That loss I would think would make them dangerous as a 6 or 7 seed.

Charleston women defeat Kutztown 78-68

Glenville State women defeat Lincoln 88-61.
