Thanks for the update...there seems to be some weird things going on over there after the announcement of the D1 move. According to one user on the football side of the forum, the football program might be imploding, with a bunch of guys in the portal and the head coach gone, but I can't confirm the coach stuff.
IUP offered a Guard from New Haven over the weekend. He just went in the Portal ... 3-year starter. Big dude.
In an ironic (and funny) twist, the HC Fayetteville got rid of is the new HC at ... Bluefield State.
Essentially they just traded HCs
I had assumed Luke D'Alessio had moved onto a better D2 opportunity after the regional final appearance. Didn't realize he was effectively moving down. Strange to get rid of a coach after the Sweet 16.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Both teams were NCAA playoff teams that ran dynamically different offenses (and defenses?). I would assume that they will install their styles at their new school. So the question will be which style achieves results faster?
Total ludicrous! They ran into the hottest team in the NBA - that's not on him. And I personally feel he got them farther than another coach would have.
Today’s NBA is all about the players and the GM. Coaches are mostly interchangeable. And personality wise Thibodeau seems about as pleasant as a root canal so he probably has a certain shelf life wherever he goes, though Jalen Brunson certainly did go to bat for him.
Danny Hurley is being talked about for the job. That would be wildly entertaining for the very short time it would last. I think the NBA, especially New York, would burn him out quickly.
The Pacers are unbelievable. I went to bed thinking there was no way they were coming back this time in this moment against this team, but they did. I have no idea how this is going to play out. It still wouldn’t shock me if OKC rattled off 4 straight wins. But I also won’t be surprised if Indiana wins in 6 or 7.
