Yep. For all the coaches who keep recruiting the same type of players who continue to get blasted by said system ... Lander is the prototype.

    Nova's press was highly ineffective.

Now, Gannon has way, way more muscle than Nova had. Lander won't be able to get a lot of what Nova's interior was giving up. Nova was pretty soft inside.

I think Gannon would have beat Nova by 10-12 points. Gannon would have been a physical nightmare for Nova.

Lander will be a much tougher matchup. They give it back.
Well since Nova Southeastern has been in the national championship game three straight years and has a ton of tournament experience, Gannon might not mind facing Lander.

Yes!! There are reasons that Nova was the One seed and Lander the fifth seed. Personally, I think that Gannon may be able to defend Lander a bit better in the half-court sets than did Nova.

            • For those who are interested, I saw this little Xitter thread with a bunch of season-long and last 5 percentile, per40, and per100 possession stats for Gannon and Lander. It’s a good read on what the teams respective strengths are, and different information than the counting stats and shooting percentages you’ll likely find in most team-provided or local outlet previews.

                • Unfortunately was a torrential downpour as soon as we got into Indy lol but smooth (long) trip otherwise.

At Lucas Oil now to watch UCONN and then Gainbridge tomorrow for Gannon!!
