I saw the entire Kingpin movie for the first time last night. Vanessa Angel was fantastic.

On the recruiting front, I just saw this on Twitter.

Yep, he's the starting PG this season.

Kingpin is outstanding. Hope the Mavs don't get Munsoned this season.

2018 edition of the Mav Hall of Fame includes Elisha McSweeny, the man who changed the program around for Butch Raymond. He could lay a dollar on the top of the backboard and leave change- well, almost. Mavs shared the NCC basketball title in 1976.

I seem to recall that Raymond had an ambitious non-conference schedule either that year or the following; playing at the U of Nebraska and also at the U of Kansas.

It was 76-77 when they took on the two Big 8 teams. They were an independent from 76 to 78. For the 78-79 season they were back in the NIC, which they won but lost in the regional final at home to Franky Alphabet from St. John's in double OT.
