I'm always amazed at how these discussions are often driven by the "community," but that those people seemingly have no concept of the challenges a move to DI is from a financial perspective. I think a move would be a huge mistake for Augie.

Good. I don't really want to see Augie go D1 since MSU has had decades of great games with them.

I doubt if there is a worse one in the NSIC. Pitiful.

Anyway- not that I'm a rich man, but if MSU drops football I won't donate another penny to that school. I've been a loyal fan but I won't support that move.

    2. Go with the Summit/Mo Valley. That would be tough to compete in the best FCS football conference in the country. The old NCC foes have too big of a head start. AU would end up as a western version of Indiana State.

    3. Go Pioneer. Would a schedule of Drake, San Diego & Valpo bring out the local fans? Probably not.

Not one word was spoken about football. They said school is commissioning a study on move up. Brought Mankato up as only other institution who could make a move to D1. My belief is AU would go back to the days of being the I29 schools punching bag.

The 1st half is the AU team we wanted this season. The 2nd half not so much so.

Augie removes the starters with a little over two minutes to play and a 22 point lead. 15pt-7reb-4ast for Warren, 8pt-9ast for Spencer, and 15 points for Schaefer. I would say it's hard to take much away from this one given the competition but then again this is the same Augie team who lost to Graceland.

    73-53 final.

Apparently we're playing an 1800s-era 2nd half, having only scored a handful of points so far and still up 24 with 8 minutes to go.

Augustana scuffling offensively this half as their lead has been trimmed to 21, 54-33 at the under 10 media TO of the 2nd half.

42-16 Augie at the half as they hold Chadron to 5-26FG (19%) 5pts-6reb-4ast for John Warren

And a decent running 2-handed dunk early in the half.
