Cartwright comes back healthy and augie clearly one top 5 teams in nsic next year. Other guys continue to progress and augie could easily be in conversation for top 1-2 teams in league next year.

Calendar year or academic year?Originally posted by vikingfaithful View PostHave to say I appreciate Augieholic analytical prowess. Teams will bow out of D2 with heads held high next season.
Believe it was halftime of the AU victory over SCSU, Fylling interviewed Josh Morten who stated every is going as expected and funding is falling in place. As he has said all along that the end of the year we will learn more.

My read is we either keep Augustana or replace them with St. Thomas. It seems apparent (and logical) that the Summit is a lot more enamored with St. Thomas. No shade intended to Augie but can't blame them for that.Originally posted by Augieholic View Post

St Thomas is a potential monster get for a mid major conference, I still believe both schools will end up in the Summit eventually.Originally posted by DapperDan View Post

Anybody that believes St. Thomas would be content living for a long period in the Summit should think again. Augustana would be a solid member in the league, they're would be growing pains and challenges I remember SMSU beating the jacks in basketball in their transition process. Some other Summit member are commuter schools and other with much smaller endowments than AU 90 million. Augie's booster club is strong and that is a great deal of the reason the Vikings have thrived in D2.

In the overall view, there will be less competitive growing pains than most believe, in my humble, non-loving Augie opinion...they will transition just fine.Originally posted by vikingfaithful View PostAnybody that believes St. Thomas would be content living for a long period in the Summit should think again. Thank you Augieholic watched the game, what a thrill and great time in AU history. Alex Richter came up big. Jansen was as always good and Casey Schilling a monster on the boards.Originally posted by Augieholic View PostLast edited by vikingfaithful; 03-27-2020, 03:43 PM.

Augie made an offer to Devon House a 6'7ish BIG from Illinois.

I was actually cheering for the Vikings during that game. Pretty exciting to watch a team that you've seen play in person and know who the players are win a national title.Originally posted by vikingfaithful View Post

Interesting. Looking through his Twitter feed, it appears he also received an offer from Western Illinois in the past:Originally posted by Augieholic View PostAugie made an offer to Devon House a 6'7ish BIG from Illinois.

Definitely see why you put BIG in all caps. Appears to have quite a few accolades (multiple all-states in Illinois, etc.), so I'm a little surprised he doesn't have more interest/offers. But I guess we'll see how it goes.

NW is recruiting him on some level as well. I don't know how high of a priority he is.Originally posted by MrAugustana View Post
