What is happening since Kim Anderson left? Coach Karleskint is 25-22 in conference in 2.5 years and most of the wins were in his first year with Andersons players. Are we regressing to pre Anderson times or is their hope that the Mules will turn this around. Any thought on how hot Coach K's seat is getting.

Re: Mule BBall
NW upperclass heavy, just like UCM was when they made their run. This is NW's year to make some noise. Really like their team. In contrast, the Mules are fairly young. Need to find some inside scoring -- good teams are defending Mules well outside the three point line. Disappointed with fascination with the transfers. Seems to give the new transfers the benefit of the doubt over guys already in the program. Now figuring out that O'neil and Woodson give him better minutes. Seat may be warming, but his first set of h.s. recruits are only sophmores. Needs a fair chance given what he inherited there.Last edited by MoHoops; 01-15-2017, 08:19 PM.

Re: Mule BBall
While I could understand a dip in his second year this is his third year and things are not looking much better with 3 wins against NAIA teams and losses to Rockhurst which has lost to other league teams this year last year's record of 14-15 is unacceptable and will not finish in the top half of league this year barring major turnaround.

Like Anderson did when transfers played all but Wolf's 34 minutes in the 6 NCAA tournament games during the national championship run?

Re: Mule BBall
Different strokes. Building with four year players seems like more sustainable model than trying to win by taking on other people's problems (see NWMo).
Sorry to besmirch your loving memory of Saint Kim, but he left your program in a lurch, just like Frank Haith did at Mizzou.

Re: Mule BBall
Randy gets my point. Like I said 25-7 with Andersons returnees he had that season and off season to line up talent to replace the outgoing seniors then he brought in senior transfers and Mr. Scott messed up and got kicked off team major blow and injuries lead to first losing season in years. My problem with coach K is this year the team is looking like it won't be much better than the conference seeding of 9th. So really if you want to blame Anderson you can't cause this year is on coach K. And this is a way better conference than he came from so recruiting has not stepped up.

Re: Mule BBall
Not blaming Coach A. This started with me saying give the new guy a chance to succeed, but like most times on this board it always goes back to the fact that Karleskint is not Anderson or doesn't do things like Anderson.
Assumed that last post would be a little like yelling 'fire' in a crowded theater. However, Coach A left this program and ain't coming back (neither is Phog Allen or Jim Wooldridge) , so maybe let's look forward not backward.
