Oh please, on the day of their ring presentations at night, I'm sure that they will spend the afternoon getting sized for their 2021-2022 championship rings. As well they should. Just because 2 other teams in the region may be better than most of the rest of the country doesn't mean squat. NW is playing chess, while the rest of us are playing checkers. And some of us, my club included. are playing tiddly-winks.

I think your guard play overcomes a lot of things. You will miss Hawkins (I have heard he has been one of Creighton’s best players in the preseason) but Hudgins, Bernard and Jackson will cover up other deficiencies. Hawkins defensively might be the toughest thing to overcome. His steals and rebounding was tremendous. However, Alexander is the “X” factor. If he plays like he did late I don’t think you will miss a beat.

I agree. Don’t get me wrong. I think the Bods can compete and they made some steps last year. We will see this year but until someone else wins the conf then maybe we can look at someone else. The Hawkins loss is huge but the Bearcats have always had someone else step up after a big loss. Witthus for Ndow and Hawkins for Witthus. Hudgins for Pitts and on and on. I think the Bods might have been the 2nd best team in the country last year. Could anyone else have gone into maryville and won twice last year? I don’t think so including Northern State. So I agree the National Championship runs thru the Central Region and ultimately thru the MIAA in 2021-22.
