Solid but not outstanding performance by the MOSO ladies today. Got out to a huge first quarter lead, and then seemed like they were bored after that. Emporia was short-handed with Tre'zure Jobe out due to Covid, and another starting guard out due to injury. Their remaining players fought hard. It was good to see so many players step up for MOSO today with Lacy seeming to take a backseat and taking only 4 shots. It was so good to see Kaitlin break out and hitting several 3's. Hope to see this continue for Kaitlin.
The MOSO men were in a real battle today falling short in OT. In the end too many tumanyers today, a few key mistakes, and 2 missed 1-and-1 opportunities was too much to overcome. Owen Long had ice in his veins for Emporia making a very long 3 late in regulation to tie it and then staring down his twin brother on the MOSO bench afterwards. We had a nice look to win it in the last few seconds of regulation but it wouldn't fall. Seeing Owen Long today gives us a preview of the potential that Parker has when he is fully healthy.
