Mavericks showed that they are definitely better than their seed says. I would not want to face them right now.

It was just so obvious too. One of the situations where going strictly by the metrics was not the right decision.

MoWest can’t be happy about that draw. Work hard all season for a 2 seed and draw the #2 preseason team in the country that everyone wrote off because they lost some games early while not healthy.

Going to OT between Pitt and Harding. 69 each.

Pitt kinda fell asleep at the end up 69-66. Gave up a wide open look on on end, then had no plan on the other end.

NIce win by Harding. They tied it in regulation with a 3 and then slowly took over in OT.

Can only congratulate the Central Women’s committee on their 1) ineptitude 2) ignorance 3) bias for including one NSIC team in the Regional. Their copious research is applauded by this camp. Great work!!

Like, on one hand I get why Mankato dropped all the way to 7, and when you take that into account, only having one team makes sense.

But without Batt's injury to open the year, I think we're talking about the Mavs as a Top 3 team in the region EASILY....so having a wide gap between them and a second NSIC team around 7 or 8 makes a lot more sense.

unfortunately the GIF is way too small. And/or I suck at posting them.

The NSIC had one team in the top 11 of the region by both metrics, and Minnesota State's accomplishments don't change that.

Spending 10 hours in a gym for refs (effectively one ref) to foul out two of the best bigs in the country in a combined 47 minutes of playing time is disappointing, but generally a pretty good day of basketball. Thought Pitt mismanaged that 4th quarter a little, needed to find a way to keep getting the ball inside.

Seeing Minnesota State live, better than I thought. Fort Hays will match up with them much better than Western did, but those high pre-season rankings MSU had seem legit.
