The desperation of the NSIC did provide plenty of material!

I continue to be shocked at how quickly the Bearcat fan base forgot about McCollum after he left town. Especially, I dont know if this has been reported anywhere, when he took several NW players with him to Drake and now Iowa. I guess once youre not a Bearcat you never were a Bearcat.

Per Verbal Commits https://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers here is a listing of the current NSIC player related to the transfer portal. I don't have all the social media platforms, so might not be absolutely up to date. Pretty minimal list right now.

Not surprised to see the 2 kids leave SMSU in the transfer portal. I hope they both land at a place where they play a lot more. Both good kids and wish them well.

tough break for the Dragons. Makes it hard to be a D2 fan but this is the new reality.

Long term it creates fundraising issues for D2 schools. already tough to build fan loyalty. makes it even tougher with all the turnover.

Haertle lands at South Dakota State. The big boys poach mid/low majors and mid/low majors poach D2. The new unpleasant reality that is college sports.

Marcus Burks to CSP, glad he'll get an opportunity at the d2 level.

Id expect that to be the only one that gets an offer, atleast at the d2 level.

What about when Winona poached Wisconsin for Haertle last spring?

                          C’mon now. That’s like a psychic winning the lottery…
                          It doesn’t work that way.

He was a walk on who never played. I’m sure they did not care.

I’m not trying to start an argument, but doesn’t that still go against the whole “put time and resources into the player just to have them leave?” Sure, no scholarship resources went to him as a walk-on, but time and other resources did. Obviously they won’t have an issue back-filling a walk-on position though. Ha.

That's not how the portal works. Players that come to my school are just making the most of their opportunities and shouldn't be forced to stay in a situation that is not best for them. Only players that leave my school are disloyal, greedy, spoiled kids that don't know what is best for them.
