Centre College and Transylvania will probably stay in D3 until a different intercollegiate athletic system forms in the distant future.

Cedarville's men's and women's soccer teams (which are usually pretty good) both got absolutely smoked by OVU yesterday. OVU hired a Columbian coach to coach both teams and he has assembled two very nice international-rostered teams. I know our schools have gotten used to beating OVU in most sports - but they have clearly stepped up their game. Watch out.

They do that a lot in the NAIA as well. However, it can raise a big Red flag to the NCAA unless OVU worked strictly through and within NCAA rules.

Wesleyan's volleyball team dropped their first four matches, and then? won five in a row including their last match at TNU. The Panthers came back from an 0-2 game disadvantage to win three straight games in their first G-MAC match of the season.

Also, it looks like Wheeling Jesuit quietly dropped both men's and women's swimming. Disappointing.

I think Ashland and Davenport are the only GLIAC wrestling schools. Add them and the G-MAC/MEC schools, and you have a nice championship event.

Oilers squeak out a tough 5 set volleyball win over the Hillsdale Chargers. Sounds like it would have been a great match to see. Oh, well, can't be everywhere.

I watched the live stream of that match! It was very very good with Findlay squeaking it out 16-14 in the 5th!

Findlay defeated Hillsdale & Cedarville in 5 with both matches at Findlay this week. Cedarville defeated Hillsdale in 4 at Hillsdale. This race is already shaping up to be what I thought that it could be. Meanwhile, Lake Erie and Walsh are getting it done on the East side of the conference with both undefeated right now in conference play! I still think it will be an incredibly close race between Findlay, Cedarville, Hillsdale, and Lake Erie in the long run for the top spot in the conference! Findlay, Hillsdale, and Lake Erie all had great out of conference starts as well. Cedarville not so great. Typical of them though as Coach Walters always schedules incredibly tough and with a very young team this year! The other three have not scheduled quite as tough, but have been getting it done! This is really going to turn in to a great volleyball season!

Those of you that are volleyball fans will not want to miss Cedarville's home opener tonight! They always pack the house for that match! I wish that I could be there, but will not be able to. However, I will be tuning in online! They are playing Lake Erie so it is going to be a great one as well!

KWC men's golf team won the Otter Invitational over five GLVC teams including USI. That is the single most impressive showing this Fall from KWC athletics.
