Cedarville's new coach is Rob Jones, most recently the Associate Head Coach at Liberty University. I like this hire. My kids go to LU, so I'm somewhat familiar with Coach Jones. Good recruiter and I think he will be a great institutional fit. The only downside I can think of is that I don't see him staying long at CU if he has success. He has been very successful as a D1 AHC. I think this is likely him stepping back a level to gain HC experience. That said, still very very pleased.

BTW - Cedarville's Jayvon Maughmer (G-MAC POY) transferred to Liberty this off season. Liberty's Associate HC just took the Cedarville job. Does Pat Estepp complete the trifecta and take the now-open LU Associate HC job?

Furman is actually a smaller university than Cedarville. But it is a D1 school with a LOT of money. All about the name and prestige though. That's why some athletes think D1 is so much better than D2. Then sit the bench or find out being D1 isn't all that.
