I just didn't care for some of Saginaw Valley State's comments and stuff this past week. And WV comments aren't needed on broadcasts when Detroit and Flint are in the shape they are.

At any rate, Bowie State 17 ABU 10 at the half.

We were up 10-3 and had the ball at our 44 on 4th down. We tried a second fake punt which cost us field position and a short field for Bowie. I think that changed momentum. The missed FG also hurt. We might have to use all 4 downs when we get in their territory. FGs I don't think will help much this half.

I thought the scheme overall was good. The players have done a nice job. I think if our kick returner keeps going straight on that last kickoff he scores. I agreed with the announcer. Bowie is talent on the defensive front. I think the coaches have called some good inside zone runs against the DEs that like to sprint upfield. Moving the pocket for McWilliams is good. I think the coaches did a good job except for that 2nd punt fake. Too risky at that point. I think we need to utilize the TEs more this half as I think they have a chance to get open based on Bowie's scheme. This baton twirler is talented and good. Gotta like flames.

Bowie up 31-17 with 12:11 left. We have played well against a talented team. This is a tough non-conference schedule.

Bowie up 38-24 with under 7:00 left.

AB had the ball. Two costly penalties on that drive. That hold negated what was a 32 yard gain. Bowie holds on downs and is driving. That will do it.

AB had the ball with 12 seconds left in Bowie territory. AB QB gets sacked on final play. We had trouble blocking their talented d-line all day. They have a pre-season all-american there too.

I thought the effort by the team was incredible. I really mean that and applaud the team and coaches. I love the fight the whole way. A lot of guts shown. They were down 38-17 and could have ran out the string. We play like that each week then we have chances against the lower tier of the G-MAC. Defense got a key INT when Bowie drove the ball inside the 10 and up 38-24. Great to watch a game without commercials. Bowie was 9-2 last year and had some studs. I thought the announcer does a real good job broadcasting all day without a color commentator.

Final: Tiffin 29 Alderson Broaddus 24. Tiffin moves to 3-0 and ABU drops to 0-3.

I thought when AB took the 24-23 lead in the 4th quarter that they were going to win. Give credit to Tiffin for scoring when it counted. Not into moral victories, but two good efforts against two quality programs in back-to-back weekends. TU is 3-0 and was 8-3 last year as a member of the GLIAC. AB has improved since last season. The record doesn't show it.

The homecoming event looks the best I have seen as a student or alumni. Hopefully we have a good turnout for the Lake Erie game that weekend. We have a shot at a victory there.

Hoping for a good effort by the soccer team against the #2 team in the country tonight.

Halftime: #2 OVU 1 ABU 0. Equal shots on goal which surprised me. Another 45 to go. OVU is talented.

Women's volleyball goes on the road to defeat to local rivals. AB defeated Salem 3-0 and defeated WV Wesleyan 3-1.

I am really looking forward to homecoming. I enjoyed watching AB sports lately and some of the G-MAC football games over the landfill that D-I has become. No 5 and 1/2 minute commercial breaks between every possession, very few scandals as we are seeing in D-I, etc.

Wow, ODU looks real good on the road at Findlay. We have them next on the road.

Men's soccer up 1-0 at the half over Walsh. Trevecca goes to Vienna and knocks off the number 2 team in the country in OVU by a score of 1-0.

Men's soccer wins 3-0 on the road over Walsh. They move to 4-2-1 in the G-MAC.
