NSIC has been covered pretty well, but I'll add a few points.

-Current alumni in the NFL include Adam Thielen (Mankato) and CJ Ham (Augustana), both with the Vikings.
-Football alumni of member institutions include Josh Duhamel (Minot) and Isiah Whitlock Jr. (SMSU)
-Bemidji State's homecoming tradition is to jump into the lake after a win. I've been to Bemidji before and while I love the town, and the enthusiasm... that just sounds painful.
-Non-football alumni of Minnesota State-Moorhead include Hercules Kevin Sorbo and the duo responsible for creating The Annoying Orange (if you don't know, you probably don't want too).

The conference is made up of a hodgepodge of schools from other now-defunct conferences, so I don't believe there are any major rivalries really happening. I know Mankato has some sort of beef with just about everyone in some fashion, but other than that and the Key to the City rivalry in Sioux Falls, I can't really think of anything.

That's all I got. I like the conference in terms of the fans. It kinda feels like a big 'ole family.

I watched a very spirited hockey game at U.A.Fairbanks.

The played Fond de Luc and beat 'em pretty badly.

No SIAC teams yet. CIAA-not their home games, but in tournament play: Chowan, Virginia Union

I'd highly recommend you take in a CIAA Football or Basketball game. Those basketball games are vicious. Or go to the CIAA Basketball tournament in February.

SIAC - Go to a Tuskegee home game or to a football classic (TU-Morehouse, TU-Albany State, Albany-Fort Valley).

I can't think of a more pleasant experience you could have among Black Folk. My visits to Fort Valley, Albany State, Savannah State and the Atlanta schools, showed me how beautiful Black people can be. They don't have the best facilities but everyone was so nice.

Rivalries with SCSU, UMD, WSU and BSU and a budding rivalry with USF in football only

They've had some slugfests with AU too.

Probably not really a rivalry, but still. MSU vs the world!

Solid summary... I'll also add that the Arizona Cardinals are currently home to two NSIC alums: Sioux Falls' Dennis Gardeck and Concordia-St. Paul's Zach Moore.

That was my first year at SMSU, but like a chucklehead I didn't go to any games. Partly because I wasn't living in Marshall at the time. First one was against MSU in 2013, been hooked ever since.

We don't produce any NFL talent, so I try to root for other conference guys. Well, I root for DII players in general, but especially NSIC guys.
