I'm looking at D2 teams who will have new conference homes, new D2 members, etc. in the next years and was wondering what else others know?

    What I've got so far
-Chowan will be staying in CIAA as affiliate football member, but moving other sports to Conference Carolinas
-Humboldt State will be dropping football after this season
-Merrimack is going D1 FCS in 2019
-UNC Pembroke is joining the MEC as an affiliate member in 2020
-Shepherd is moving to the PSAC in 2019
-UVA Wise is moving to the SAC in 2019
-Saw someone post that LIU Post is combining with other LIU campus and will be moving to FCS, if someone wants to verify*(saw the article to verify. thanks)
-Lindenwood leaves MIAA for the GLVC

    FUTURE D2 FOOTBALL
    -Benedictine joins GLVCNo longer happening
-Frostburg State moving up to MEC
-Franklin Pierce adds football in the NE10
-Savannah State leaves FCS for the SIAC
-Wheeling Jesuit is starting football and will be in the MEC
-Barton and Erskine are restarting football programs, but have not identified a conference affiliation for those yet.

That's the one in Kansas (Benedictine College) ... the GLVC was adding the one in Illinois (Benedictine University).

Didn't know Savannah State was moving down. That's going to be quite a juggernaut for a couple years when they come back.

Just for clarification: Franklin Pierce is a current NE10 member, they are just adding football for 2019.

The Heartland Conference (minus Newman) is joining the Lone Star Conference in 2019.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought they were already a D2 school but wasn't 100% sure.

The same for Wheeling Jesuit University. They've been a member of the MEC, just finally got with the program for football. They are playing an exhibition schedule this season; and will begin full competition within the conference next year.

Southwest Baptist is moving the rest of their sports from the MIAA to the GLVC (SBU already plays in the GLVC for football, as does Lincoln (Mo.); I haven't heard anything official about Lindenwood moving to the GLVC, though the rumor has been out there for a while).

Yesterday, the GLVC announced Lindenwood officially as a new member starting 2019-20.
MIAA commissioner apparently said on the radio last night that Lincoln will be "recalled" back to the MIAA for all sports starting 2019-20.

                            Re: Future Conference Affiliations

Conference Carolinas is about to have 5 football playing schools in the next few years. If they can get say Mt Olive to sponsor the sport, and pull UNCP away from the MEC affiliation, I could easily see that conference sponsoring the sport within the next 5 years.

The PSAC will gladly offer up Gannon, Mercyhurst, and Seton Hill for any interested. Name your price.
