The last time any current member of the GLIAC not named Grand Valley or Ferris won the conference was 2004.

Only Hillsdale, Ohio Dominican and Ashland won the GLIAC in those years and they all bolted.

So really these “competitive conferences” are just very top heavy with two heavy weight teams…

Maybe that’s why they don’t take into account strength of conference because the whining about comes from the two that literally have two teams in either that win it pretty much every year. The MIAA is the same deal..if it’s not Northwest Misery than it’s Pittsburg with the H winning that conference year in and year out. So they just have them duke it out regionally. Maybe the NCAA just hates them both. lol


But isn’t it hysterical..I mean rolling on the ground hysterical…that the “lowly” Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference already has a reservation for the Semi Finals. Sure they’ll get steam rolled but it’s nice we get our seat at the table almost every year just to piss off the Region 3 fan boys. Thats a win!!

BTW since the Pee Sack title game was reinstated in 2008…over half of our current member programs have won the conference title at least once. MIAA and GLIAC can’t say that because 3/4 of their teams arent that competitive in conference…

What you have is most of your schools have no interest in foosball because it’s dominated by the same two schools. How many Meatchicken Tech posters are in here? Northern Meatchicken? Im pretty sure the regional setup is the way it is because they see maybe 10 schools out of all of D2 with any real chance most years…and they wind up winning it all and then you have schools in Region 1 who can still say they won the region to the alumni to keep them happy and giving money. Given your substandard GV education you missed the point. People like you want D2 to be another FCS and like fetch it’s not going to happen. D2 is regional small college foosball. They have to keep the sport relevant in season for most conferences..so the fans have something to look forward to each season. The vast majority of D2 is closer to Pee Sack schools in terms of resources and your Baby Huey of a school is the exception. So you are going to dominate every year. It’s why Region 1 gets a ticket because they have to make it equitable. If you don’t like it there are choices but what D2 is…and how it’s run..isn’t going to change to make a few arrogant fanbases in Flyover Country happier.

The rest of the GLIAC actually tries. Ferris was a doormat for years until they actually committed to athletics being successful, and now they're a top 20 athletics program in D2, and one of the best football programs in the country. Davenport just started playing football yesterday and they're already better than the entirety of SR1. GV being successful for the last 20 years has raised the level of play in the entire conference, and the schools who didn't want to actually improve themselves ran for the loser hills of SR1, while the ones with balls actually stayed.

You sisters of the poor in the PSAC and SR1 are too lazy to actually commit to being good in football, so you just want to get rid of the schools that are better rather than trying to improve yourselves. Loser mentality and approach. Every school wants to be GV. Even your precious IUP would trade their current athletic program success for the success of GV if they could. But they're too lazy to do the work to get there.

Ferris was in the playoffs in 90’s. We have a 3-1 record against them.

Davenport is a tiny school in your shadow. They aren’t going to match you dollar for dollar.

They are trying. They just have better schools ahead of them. But Davenport is still better than anyone SR1 can churn out.

Maybe SR1 could win some games against teams outside of SR1 if they drew more than 650 people to a playoff game and got some extra cash for scholarships, coaches, and facilities =)
