Thanks; if it's ever an option, that would be the way to go. But if you don't have a way into the tailgating lot, chances are it's a half-mile walk on uneven footing to get up there.Originally posted by Pine Ridge View Post
Pick a game with a 3:30 kickoff in September. Traffic is easy in and easy out.

All Cal had to do was at least try to take care of business against Rock ... and they didn't. Another season of Underachievement for Team Spock.Originally posted by IUPNation View PostKutztown is the top seed and earned a bye week.
Shepherd is the 2 seed and hosts Findlay.
Fake Notre Dame is the 3 seed and hosts Slimey Pebble.
New Haven is the 4 seed and hosts Bentley.
Mon Valley U got left out.
The winner of New Haven/Bentley game wins a trip to Berks County to face Kutztown.
The winners of the other two games face off in Round 2.Cal U (Pa.) Class of 2014

Yup, the low cost and relative convenience of small-college sports has become a big attraction for me.Originally posted by jrshooter View Post
Take it from a 60-something. That's a factor these days, having the game available from the comfort of home.
I've already written off going to Penn State games, just because it's too much of a hassle.

Normally they try to avoid, but it was obvious during the selection show the analysts said they want to limit travel and save money.Originally posted by NewHaven Alum View Post
I thought there will be no rematch in the first round of the playoffs for teams already played each other during the regular season No?
Good matchups all around. I think any team from the 7 to the 1 could win the region, including Findlay.

Thought so too, but I think I'd rather have in-conference playoff games early on than a national semifinal game.Originally posted by NewHaven Alum View Post

We may find out in DI-AA/FCS next week - if James Madison and Villanova both win their season finales this coming Saturday, they'd have the same conference (CAA) record with VU winning the head-to-head game by 1 point. Villanova however has one additional loss (to DI-A/FBS Penn State before they had injury issues) and their one DI-AA/FCS loss was a worse loss (to a William & Mary team that is a bubble team for the playoffs). Most people think JMU will be seeded higher than VU despite the head-to-head result.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post
If I remember correctly, DII is the only of the three NCAA football tournaments that doesn't favor conference champions.

I saw on Matt's Twitter post that Cal had the worst SOS in the PSAC. The Vulcans' opponents went 44-54 (.449 win %). And, that was even with the benefit of not having to play winless Clarion.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post
The world may never know.
It's just bad timing. They can't control the crossover schedule and they just got paired with two tomato cans. Most years their non-conference game with Fairmont State would have helped. Turns out they stunk this year, too.
