So segregated parking and entrance to The Evil for IUP Fans.

Its worth pointing out that you can park anywhere on campus for free - but those "other" parking options will be much further from the stadium than the paid lots.

Also, yes, you can have alcohol in the paid tailgate lots just no drinking games, liquor, bottles, kegs, etc.

Will there be food trucks selling food outside the stadium or only campers and people tailgating?

No food trucks in Slip. Recommend light mayo on your Bob's Sub.

Actually it’s doing IUP fans a favor so we don’t get infected by Slimey Pebble cooties.

Plus who wants to be around a bunch of gym teachers and gym teacher trainees? It’s bad enough we have to deal with you all as the person who watches the self checkouts at Target.

                :-)

No anything in Slimey Pebble. Why students think that’s a better place to spend four-five years than an actual town like Indiana is mind boggling. At IUP, you get a better town, better campus and a better school.

                  :-)

I mean seriously...compare the main intersections of Indiana and Slimey Pebble.

7th and Philadelphia looks nice and has actual businesses plus a nice street park.

Main and New Castle is a Sheetz, and Kwik Fill, the remains of a former BP gas station and an empty lot where a bank used to be.

Now if Downtown Indiana only looked like Downtown West Chester...IUP would be booming.

It probably keeps your car from being keyed by an out of control Gym Teacher.

Indiana, PA is a nice town. You travel around into rural suburban America, that's what all those towns used to look like. People didn't need the big city back then. Life was simpler. Indiana has held strong likely due to the campus and that the student body has mostly been a pretty decent size. I think the Indiana "community" itself is actually decent sized too, which helps to support the "downtown" area.

Even when I go back now, there's a glowing charm to the place that you just can't deny. It's a nice place to go to school and come back to and visit as an alum. I would have no qualms about raising a family and living there.

It's set up so the two sides never mingle. The visitor lot essentially has it's own gate on that side, too.

Last time up they didn't even have anybody working the lot so it was free to park.

Best part is when the PA announcer is reading the opening mandatory crap about sportsmanship and vulgar language, etc., to the crowd ... while the whole gym teacher student body is screaming the F IUP chant.

It's the next game. IUP doesn't get in to the whole 'rivalry' thing nearly as much as they do up there.

I call BS. IUP just seems to try and act like the cool kid who thinks they are better than everyone, SRU knows who they are and embraces it. It's a huge rivalry in our region, probably the premier rivalry in D2 out of SR1, it's silly to try to diminish it.

Everybody IUP plays is somehow its 'rival'. SRU gets elevated because the stakes are high (typically) but it's the next game on the schedule. We'll hear all about the Cal 'rivalry' the next weekend and then the Gannon 'rivalry' after that along with the Edinboro 'rivalry'.

Believe me IUP wants to win this game yearly but there's much more hysteria within one fan base than the other.

Because of the timeout fiasco, every game is must-win for IUP now. So, whether they are playing Seton Hill or SRU this week ... they have to win the same.

SRU punches above its weight to a degree. Its not a big town at all; maybe one of the smallest in PASSHE. But maybe the best brewery of any of the PASSHE towns (although Levity has an argument). Good food and drink but bad pizza. The midget Trumper mayor is an ass but he's done an incredible job of promoting the town for business investment.
