Title IX compliance is so difficult for schools with football plus other big roster men's sports like baseball and wrestling. D1 wrestling further complicates because budgets tend to be larger. But its on the AD to come up with a system to find money to balance out all the restricted donations for those men's sports like football and wrestling.
Nobody does Title IX compliance like LHU. Women's Wrestling helps now.

At the time the 120,000+ was will within the program's ability to be supported with contributions by alumni, donors and camps. The administration chose to cap it a 60,000. In 2017, LHU had 30,000 less in scholarship $ than Cheyney. I believe this had more to do with Title IX lawsuits etc...

LHU is doing a much better job currently with being resourceful on how the program is funded. Room waivers etc... this needs to continue or increase to build the program.

So something happened that resulted in such a large departure. Either the coach overspent or the program was incorrectly allocated. The only ways schools can increase support for a program are salaries, supplies/travel budget, a concerted fundraising challenge, facilities, and emotional support. That leaves scholarship dollars and on-field performance and *usually* both of those are in the head coach contract. Mulrooney seems to be making inroads in the community - unsure about alumni. I imagine winning resolves a lot of alumni grievances but he needs dollars and recruiting help, not less griping.

Well they wanted you banned and I said that was a bit much. You are just a dick. That’s not really an offense to be banned.

    You’re welcome dickhead.

I've heard from people who have heard that he did but I've seen nothing in print. If true, unsure what job would get him to move. He's got kids so it would have to be life changing. But again, nothing in print or even a specific school.

He's got a good gig here. Good facilities. Great AD. Great alumni and community support. Hard to imagine he'd leave just because. He seems very happy at SRU.

West Chester likely won't be the only job open in the PSAC this off-season. Don't forget two of the bigger name HCs in our league last year put in for perceived better jobs (and didn't get them). That's likely to happen again here. Lots of jobs will start to open up here in the coming weeks.

Lutz and Clements, my opinion, will be high on the watch lists of many.

Right now, I think it would be a risky move for a bigger and better school to hire him as HC. Not to say it wouldn't work out.

He's the second-lowest paid. Nulph getting that disrespect from Edinboro. If they gave him the current average, he'd be 8 of 16 in salary. That's about all else they can offer him because of the contract.

    1. Congrats Coach Mulrooney and the 2023 Bald Eagles

    2. This is the time for the administration to ramp up their support. 7 years ago LHU finished the 2016 Season with a 4-3 conference record, had the #1 offense in school history the only winning season in Conference play in LHU history. The week following the season scholarships were cut in half. 120,000 in scholarship aid to 60,000. LHU don't repeat your mistakes. Increase support now. The third year recruiting is imperative to build a program.

    3. Coach Mulrooney needs to leverage the recent relative success in order to increase support or leverage it to better his career if the administration make the necessary growth-minded support.
