      My picks in bold

Edinboro (+10.5) at Kutztown - The Fighting Amish are a step up in competition from Bob's Discount School of Business

Slippery Rock at Shepherd - **** Slimey Pebble

California at West Chester - The Walk On's will screw me over this way....but still going with Mon Valley U

Clarion at Shippensburg (+7.5) - The King of the Bottom Feeders!

Seton Hill (+10.5) at Bloomsburg - Maybe the winds of Danny Hale are upon Bloom...but I wouldn't be shocked if they poop themselves after a big win

IUP at Lock Haven - Hoping Ms. Taylor's voodoo dolls work this week.....need to keep the IUP winning streak since 1981 intact.

Gannon (+13.5) at East Stroudsburg - The only thing that will be LIT is the scoreboard.

West Virginia at Pitt - The Oakland Academy of the Remedial Arts takes down Hillbilly High in the We Aren't Penn State, So Nobody Cares About Us Bowl

Tiffin (+7.5) at Lenoir-Rhyne - Gonna keep going with Eleanor Whines

Rice at Houston - The winner gets to leave Houston.

Waynesburg (+17.5) at Westminster - Westminster used to torture IUP way back in the day.

Wooster at Olivet (+7.5) - Sure

Geneva (+28.5) at Carnegie Mellon - Going with the only real university in Oakland.

      * Bonus *

      (1) This PSAC team will score the fewest points in Week 2: LIT AF

      (2) Total combined points, Seton Hill at Bloomsburg, over or under 48.5: UNDER

      (3) The PSAC East will win over or under 3.5 games in Week 2: OVER

      (4) Of the PSAC games listed, this one will have the most combined total points: Mon Valley U vs Walk On U

Edinboro (+10.5) at Kutztown: I expect a letdown from the Scotties after a shocking win against Bob Morris... maybe the KUBs should swap spots with Bobby Mo (who should've dropped football instead of hockey); the Golden Bears might be better in the NEC than RMU or Mercyhurst (I may be being a tad sarcastic here)

Slippery Rock at Shepherd: This might be the game of the year in the PSAC (and maybe a potential State Game preview), and that's saying something... This is the first regular season meeting between two of the best teams in the PSAC, with the last three meetings in the NCAA playoffs: 2015 (Shepherd home win), 2019 (Rock home win) and 2022 (Shepherd home win). Home cooking will benefit the Sheep over the Slippys

California at West Chester: Spocks haven't lost two straight to start the season since 2018 ... that streak ends in Dub-Town this Saturday as the DUBs win their fourth straight against Team Underachievement

Clarion at Shippensburg (+7.5): These are not the Clarion-ettes of old (though, opening the season against Millersville and Lincoln-PA isn't exactly going up against Ferris Bueller and Minny's Odor State-Man-kow, but two wins in a row to start the season are, well, two wins in a row to start the season)

Seton Hill (+10.5) at Bloomsburg: Remember when we were all wondering about how the Stewies would build upon last season? Yeah... about that

IUP at Lock Haven: As much as I'd really love the Baldies to pull off a Northern Illinois-type upset, I don't see it happening... somehow the Red Chickens escape Hube Jack City with a win, but the Baldies are not going to go down without a fight

Gannon (+13.5) at East Stroudsburg: For the second week in a row, team LIT-AF gets LIT-UP-AF

West Virginia at Pitt: Couldn't the Hillbillies play Albany every week instead of drawing State Penn and Fail to Pitt in their non-conference slate? Though, quite frankly, F2P should've lost to Cincinnati (Meaningless factoid of the week: Pitt men's soccer is #8 in country and it showed in a dominating 3-1 win of SMU in their ACC opener - this will probably be the first and only time I'll have anything positive to say about Pitt this year)

Tiffin (+7.5) at Lenoir-Rhyne: As good as Tiffin is, L-R is simply on another level

Rice at Houston: As bad as the YouHous are (their offense is Iowa-level bad, but their defense stymied No-You for most of the night), surely they won't have any problems dispatching their in-city rivals and the third best "Owls" in FBS (behind Kennesaw State and Temple of Gloom), right? To be fair, Minute Rice does have a, well, unique band and some entertaining halftime shows...

Waynesburg (+17.5) at Westminster: Waynesburg is so bad (how bad are they?), Cheyney could beat them (oh, wait) ... expect a massive beat down in New Wilmington

Wooster at Olivet (+7.5): Somehow, Fake Worcester pulled off a miracle and won a game last week... But, since I picked them to win last week, I'll stay with the hot hand (look out Mount Union)

Geneva (+28.5) at Carnegie Mellon: The Geneva Convention calls for a mercy rule for Golden Tornadoes... Yeah, that's not gonna happen

        * Bonus *

        (1) This PSAC team will score the fewest points in Week 2: Shippensburg (only because I couldn't use my regular default of Millersville this week)

        (2) Total combined points, Seton Hill at Bloomsburg, over or under 48.5: Over (I expect most of those points to come from the Bloomies)

        (3) The PSAC East will win over or under 3.5 games in Week 2: Over (See picks above)

        (4) Of the PSAC games listed, this one will have the most combined total points: Rock vs Shep (I expect both offenses to score a lot)

Wooster is named after someone named Wooster, not how Boston pronounces Worcester.

Edinboro (+10.5) at Kutztown: If Edinboro plays like they did in Moon Township, they could probably cover. Expecting a slight regression, though.

Slippery Rock at Shepherd: Rock is done with the first game jitters they had against New Haven, but Shepherd gives them a test.

California at West Chester: Will it be a long fall along the Mon?

Clarion at Shippensburg (+7.5): Clarion might be doing things this year.

Seton Hill (+10.5) at Bloomsburg: Black Huskies over the bird dragons.

IUP at Lock Haven: 1981 vibes? Wouldn't that be something. Nation dons his "Make IUP Dominant Again" cap and storms Memorial Fieldhouse.

Gannon (+13.5) at East Stroudsburg: LitAF snuff film coming in hot to HUDL

                West Virginia at Pitt

                Tiffin (+7.5) at Lenoir-Rhyne

                Rice at Houston

Edinboro (+10.5) at Kutztown: I'd love to see 'Boro win this game, but I don't think it's in the cards.

Slippery Rock at Shepherd: I went back and forth on this one. Head says Shepherd with a close home win, Heart says Rock wins by 3.

California at West Chester: Cal basically gave the game away at Charleston. Clean up week 2, should be a Vulcan win.

Clarion at Shippensburg (+7.5) #1: I'm rooting for Mac/Ship. #2: Red Raiders should be favored in this game, #3: Eagles playing Monica Ball, going w/them.

Seton Hill (+10.5) at Bloomsburg: no way bloom loses this game, right? Right!?

IUP at Lock Haven: Lock haven is much improved but not to this level.

Edinboro (+10.5) at Kutztown - Dorothy will be wishing she was back in Moon Twp.

Slippery Rock at Shepherd - Flipped a coin.

California at West Chester - The losing team can start banquet planning.

Clarion at Shippensburg (+7.5) - Tougher days are ahead, but the Golden Eagles grab another one.

Seton Hill (+10.5) at Bloomsburg - The (alleged) highly-sophisticated Griffins' defense keeps things just close enough. Bloom by 10.

IUP at Lock Haven - Can the Bald Eagles play with pressure? It changes everything. Hawks getting several good players back this week, too.

Gannon (+13.5) at East Stroudsburg - Bet on #LIT-AF for a season ... and you'll live under a bridge by mid-October. The Boom Squad stays close enough.

West Virginia at Pitt - James Franklin says they're both like playing Akron

Tiffin (+7.5) at Lenoir-Rhyne - Likely a tight one for 3 quarters or so. L-R covers late.

Rice at Houston - Throw out the records

Waynesburg (+17.5) at Westminster - Some say this spread could have been doubled

Wooster at Olivet (+7.5) - Beautiful campus. Ugly game.

Geneva (+28.5) at Carnegie Mellon - Will Katie Holmes be in the house?

I'm sure rooting for Mac and Ship, but I see no basis for favoring them in this game unless you're counting on the 7.5 points.

Edinboro (+10.5) at Kutztown - Edinboro is riding high after an FCS upset but KU is probably the best team they’ve faced thus far. KU covers the spread with something like a 38-14 win.

Slippery Rock at Shepherd - Should be the game of the week. Rock takes a close one against the East’s #2.

California at West Chester - Both of these teams let me down last week. Difference is Cal lost to a team with realistic playoff hopes and WCU dropped one to an NE-10 also-ran.

Clarion at Shippensburg (+7.5) - Shippensburg is going through some growing pains especially on offense. Clarion starts off 3-0 against a lineup of bottom feeders.

Seton Hill (+10.5) at Bloomsburg - Bloomsburg wins but Seton Hill covers.

IUP at Lock Haven - Lock Haven might be building a middle of the pack team under their new coach. IUP is still leagues better and shows it.

Gannon (+13.5) at East Stroudsburg - I expect ESU to go for big wins as often as they can because their schedule (sans KU and Shep) is softer than Charmin.

West Virginia at Pitt - Home energy gives Pitt a lift in a rivalry game that hasn’t mattered since the infamously upset-heavy 2007 season.

Tiffin (+7.5) at Lenoir-Rhyne - LR is going to beat the brakes off of Tiffin like they did Shepherd in last year’s playoffs.

Rice at Houston - Things no one has ever said: “Rice football doesn’t rebuild; it reloads.”

Waynesburg (+17.5) at Westminster - I had to look these teams up to see if they were real and both of them are from this state.

                          Wooster at Olivet (+7.5)

                          Geneva (+28.5) at Carnegie Mellon
