East Stroudsburg at Millersville (+17.5) I'm going with ESU to win, 'Ville to cover (ville played LHU strong, and ESU may be coming off of a rivalry high from last week).

Seton Hill (-5.5) at Gannon: Gannon to cover at home

Slippery Rock (-10.5) at IUP (Two-Point Pick of the Week) 'Dem Indians to cover. I don't think this is a 2 score difference game either way.

California at Clarion (+21.5) Cal to win and cover

Clemson (-14.5) at Florida State: Clemson wins, FSU Covers.

Christopher Newport at Salisbury

Grove City (-45.5) at Bethany no way, no how am I taking anyone at -45.5

Pitt (-3.5) at North Carolina: UNC in past years has been a thorn in Pitt's side. There is no way this game is close after the drubbing UNC took against JMU a few weeks ago.

Bloomsburg (+17.5) at Kutztown: I expect the KUBs to win, but we seem to be looking at a Bloomies squad that's showing improvement... I think Bloom keeps it close and covers, though KUBs extend their streak to eight over Bloom

Shippensburg (+7.5) at West Chester: Surely this is the week the DUBs get off the schneid, right? Right?

Lock Haven at Shepherd (-7.5): As improved as the Baldies have been, I don't see them covering... maybe a 10-13 point margin, but Sheep win and cover

East Stroudsburg at Millersville (+17.5): I wouldn't want to be the Yuccos this week... that's a pretty salty squad they're dealing with

Seton Hill (-5.5) at Gannon: Other than the season opener against Fairmont, Stewies have been playing decent defense... Seton Hill's offense picked a good week to draw Team LIT-UP-AF and maybe they can hang 30 for the first time this season (though Gannon leads the all-time series 9-1)

Slippery Rock (-10.5) at IUP: Slippys are 6-4 in last 10 against the Red Chickens and looked pretty dominating last season... somehow, I think this will be close; IUP covers, but Rock wins

California at Clarion (+21.5): Nothing screams "bye week" in the PSAC more than any team facing the Clarion-ettes

Clemson (-14.5) at Florida State: Florida Man State has become the de facto "bye week" in the ACC (did you see what a dumpster fire their second half turned into in their ugly loss to *checks notes* SMU?) ... Dabo is no longer Dumbo after Clemson has been on a tear since their season opening beatdown by Georgia ... I'd expect 60K in Tallahassee this Saturday, and about 70 percent of those fans will be clad in orange

Christopher Newport at Salisbury: CNU's 24-14 win over future MEC member (this may or may not be sarcasm) Salisbury last season snapped a seven-game Seagull win streak... Salisbury beat nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins, while the Bluejays beat CNU... Salisbury's offense shows up and romps to a double-digit win

Grove City (-45.5) at Bethany: This spread may be too low as Bethany has allowed 60+ in last two games (64-6 vs. Case Western; 66-0 vs. Carnegie Mellon)

Pitt (-3.5) at North Carolina: Never trust a team that gave up 70 to James Madison and squandered a chance to beat their hated rivals (did anyone else see the Dookies starting the season 5-0?) by blowing a 13 point fourth quarter lead ... then again, I don't know that I'd trust Fail to Pitt to not pull a Fail to Pitt as their two wins against a pair of spare Power Conference opponents (Cincinnati and Morgantown Hillbilly High) have been one-possession wins

West Virginia State at Fairmont State: Fairmont's win last season snapped a three-game WVSU win streak - the previous four games have been one-possession affairs (Fairmont 21-20 last season; WVSU 34-29 in 2022, 30-23 in 2021 and 42-38 in 2019) ... WVSU wins a nail-biter on the road (but don't call it an "upset")

Winston-Salem at Virginia Union: Winston-Salem's lone loss was by 7 to NC A&T ... and they have quality wins over Virginia State and Bowie State to start CIAA play

Findlay (-35.5) at Kentucky Wesleyan: KWU opened the season with a win against GLIAC-doormat Northern Michigan, then lost to perennial GLVC-doormat William Jewell ... Findlay has been, well, Findlay ... Findlay wins, but by a margin in 28-31 range (last year's game was surprisingly close - a 27-21 Findlay win)

Thomas More at Tiffin: Thomas More strikes me as a very sneaky good team... their lone loss this season was against a decent Davenport team (24-17)... Tiffin has been okay, but they're stinging from their loss last week to Ashland

Bloomsburg (+17.5) at Kutztown - Could the Bears be a little hungover? Perhaps. Kutztown pulls away in second half.

Shippensburg (+7.5) at West Chester - The winless walk-ons better win this one. The big four of the East are still looming.

Lock Haven at Shepherd (-7.5) - After battling IUP and Cal to the final minute, the Bald Eagles almost got caught sleep-walking against Millersville. Rams win but don't cover.

East Stroudsburg at Millersville (+17.5) - The Marauders are in a brutal stretch. Angry Jimmy says hammer down. Warriors win big.

Seton Hill (-5.5) at Gannon - The Boom Squad hasn't been bringing much Boom thus far. Griffins bring down the kickball field and leave Erie #LIT-AF.

Slippery Rock (-10.5) at IUP - Crimson Hawks got b!tch-slapped a year ago. They haven't forgot. IUP wins outright.

California at Clarion (+21.5) - Vulcans' pass rush is just as good as IUP's. Clarion's QB is in for another long, long afternoon. This has a 49-7 vibe. Sorry, ALF.

Clemson (-14.5) at Florida State - The Doak isn't the only thing under construction.

Christopher Newport at Salisbury - Either would have a chance to finish third in the MEC this year.

Grove City (-45.5) at Bethany - Big number. Bigger final margin.

Pitt (-3.5) at North Carolina - The Duzz has had some issues with North Carolina. But, how is the morale in Chapel Hill? Panthers win comfortably.

West Virginia State at Fairmont State - Falcons are on one week and off the next.

Winston-Salem at Virginia Union - Tough call. Both are good.

Findlay (-35.5) at Kentucky Wesleyan - That pesky team from KW loses by 35

Thomas More at Tiffin - Tiffin was ready for the SEC last year (per some). Not so much anymore. But, they recover this weekend.

Bloomsburg (+17.5) at Kutztown - Was pretty close to taking Bloom to cover but not yet. Though this year has been impressive, they are still up and coming. Meanwhile, K-Town looks as strong as ever.

Shippensburg (+7.5) at West Chester - Chester needs this one bad, they have to be desperate at this point.

Lock Haven at Shepherd (-7.5) - I have more confidence in Shep in a shootout or close game, though I really want to take Haven here.

East Stroudsburg at Millersville (+17.5) - The pirates of the Amish sea seem to have run aground and supplies are running out fast. Meanwhile, the only ship in sight is about to drop a 21+ bomb on them.

Seton Hill (-5.5) at Gannon - I kind of wanted to call this a toilet bowl but the Greensburg Griffins aren't that bad. Can't say the same for the Lake Erie Guardians.

Slippery Rock (-10.5) at IUP (Two-Point Pick of the Week) - Both of these teams have played good, close games and absolute blowouts. Statistically IUP is the better team, but I can't take them to win just yet. Slip wins, but not by 10.5.

California at Clarion (+21.5) If Slip/IUP is game of the week, then this has to be the ass beating of the week. The CU abuse continues.

Clemson (-14.5) at Florida State

Christopher Newport at Salisbury - I like salisbury steak so I'll take the home team

Slippery Rock (-10.5) at IUP - That's too big of a spread. Feel like IUP getting guys back may be a bit rusty, and Rock is more battle tested. Turnovers will decide it and frankly Hunter is more likely to be giving it up than Long is.

California at Clarion (+21.5)- Is Cal not getting enough attention?

Clemson (-14.5) at Florida State- If Clemson scores 20 that'll cover the spread. FSU can't score.

VULCANS are getting all the attention they deserve until they win back to back vs SRU & IUP at Adamson later this month. If they do that, the lose at currently 4-0 Charleston will be shown in the correct context i.e. a close loss on the road against an MEC contender. Davis Black seems improved from last year and will be the key to the team being good or superior. Time will tell.
