I'm happy for Lock Haven. They were doormats for so long, they deserve something to cheer about.

I’m not. When I said I wanted the PSAC to be more competitive I meant that I wanted BU to win it all, not for Lock Haven to beat BU.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not satisfied with the current state of Bloomsburg football. I'm glad that Lock Haven has improved. So I guess both things can be true

        • ESU holds off West Chester 45-31. The game was tied at 31 at the end of the 3rd Qtr, but ESU shuts out the Rams in the 4th. Tub Mills had 2 30+ yard TD runs, and wound up with 140 yards on the night. Tyriq Lewis scored 2 TDs as well, and ran for 108 yards. Sean McTaggart may have had his best night of the year, with accurate passing all night long. The Warriors keep taking care of business, and host Lock Haven net week at Noon. Once again, the Warriors cover the spread too! When do regional rankings come out??

          • Bit of a to-do between Clarion and Boro. Scots penalized for wearing gray w/o Clarion OK. League rule says one team must wear white unless mutual agreement. Cost em 15 yards and a TO

If I were to guess, I'd have to say the locals are opposed to any attempt to install lights at Seth Grove for various reasons. Not saying that's the case, that's just a hunch.

              • Very late to this, but an iffy day for KU. Defense did its thing and held Ship's offense. The offense was not on point today.

In their last 8 meetings, Bloom and LH have won 4 times each.

Both halves! I understand the rule but that's quite petty for Clarion to enforce. They didn't announce it so it left the stadium unsure of why Edinboro kept starting without full allotment of time outs.

Not a huge fan of the gray mostly because it's so hard to read the numbers.

But I thought the Willies are moral and wholesome and do no wrong….you mean they might be jerks? And mouth off after they win a game that was gift wrapped to them?

From my recollection the stadium isn’t close to anyone’s house….its the most spread out campus in the PSSHE.

It's a stupid rule. Several PSAC teams have worn gray uniforms and I doubt they had written approval from the opponents and the home office every time.

Ray Monica is petty. Clarion is a place where your career (Malen Luke) and legacy (Chris Weibel) goes to die.

Petty or not, that's a severe penalty. Losing a timeout per half can really hamper things. It's severe enough I can certainly see most opposing coaches at least thinking about accepting it.

Now, would most coaches in the league say it's not a big deal and let's move on? Probably. But, they are playing to win. Stripping two timeouts is a major advantage.

As you'll recall, the IUP men's basketball team actually forgot its uniforms for a game at Edinboro about 6-7 years ago. By rule, Edinboro could have forced IUP to forfeit the game. A stupid loss like that would have probably cost IUP hosting the Regional. Edinboro made the decision to play the game with IUP wearing Boro practice uniforms of the opposite color. It was a classy move by then-Edinboro coach Pat Cleary. IUP's equipment manager from that night, by the way, is still missing. Some think he's locked up deep in the McComb basement.

I feel bad for that equipment manager. The McComb basement is dank and not air conditioned. He may look like a California raisin now.

I'm still pretty pissed about this whole uniform fiasco. Yeah, its technically Edinboro's fault. I haven't heard yet if the gray jerseys was an accident (they had white pants) or if they assumed it wasn't a big deal. I'd love to hear more about this. I can't imagine they just didn't care. This was a mundane mid season game without any special significance. Who alerted the officials - did the PSAC office do this? Did Ray Monica? Who gives a flying frig if the numbers were hard to read. You couldn't read the scoreboard and play clock either - why didn't Clarion get penalized for that? If Clarion raised the specter on this, I hope Edinboro responds with an equally petty move. Clarion-Edinboro is my family's Michigan-Ohio State so this one gets extra vitriol from me.

Playing with one time out in the second half sealed the loss for Edinboro. Clarion had the ball with 2 minutes left in the game and Edinboro without time outs allowed Clarion to run out the clock. The comeback was frustrating and this is just icing on the cake.

I really can't believe Boro is trying to make something out of this. you lost 1 TO per half and got a 15yd penalty assessed on the KO. It was pretty insignificant in the grand scheme with how the game played out. To somehow make a connection to that being the reason you lost is ridiculous. Maybe start with your defense giving up well over 500yds of offense to a team that had 5 turnovers and did everything they could to hand the game to you. Honestly you were fortunate that game was even competitive because if Clarion could of held onto the football for the first 3 quarters the score would have been 42-14. yes having one more timeout at the end of the game could have helped you potentially get the ball back...potentially. You had plenty of opportunities to put the game away while Clarion was shooting itself in the foot repeatedly, it didnt happen. Move on and next time leave those terrible uniforms at home. can't believe they actually chose to wear those things anyway.
