Now, being he grew up 40 minutes from IUP and used to party here a lot, well, he should have got it correct.
He's a 'shock jock' and is king of the annoying 'bruh' army.

It used to just be headlines but now people like Pat feed into the drama. I find it hard to say "football is for everyone" when its really only for the loudest, most beer die playing, most jersey collecting, sports betting, Madden 25/26/27/28 pre-orderer. We could have a whole thread on just this.
I mostly like Mark Madden. He can still be a shock jock type, but he does it in the traditional media way. He's not changing or diving into bro culture. Nobody beats his hockey talk. And he tells it like it is pertaining to the Steelers and the NFL. His hatred for Pat Narduzzi makes every word that comes out of his mouth about college sports unlistenable, but I take the good with the bad in that regard. Bottom line, I was glad he re-upped for two additional years. The sports talk show world in Pittsburgh will be sad without him.

I used to think his act was sort of funny, but he's so far off the rails now.

Madden very rarely even mentions Pitt. He'll randomly call Narduzzi a blowhard or something, and say Pitt is irrelevant in Pittsburgh. That's about it. He brings them up every couple weeks. Some callers try to bait him in to Pitt discussions but he just blows them off and hangs up.
I actually wish his hockey talk would be cut in half. The Penguins aren't even newsworthy (or watchable). I actually switch to the B-Team during his hockey rants.

That's the problem with Madden. His shock days are over so he's just a jerk. He can't discuss WWE or LFC, so he's stuck talking too much about the Pens. Even when they're worthy of talk, he reduces Pitt and the Pirates to insults. He's just mimicking Bill O'Reilly but sports. I can't listen to him.

Not to mention the Christmas albums. Great musical talent.
