  • Harlon Hill Nominees

For you noobs, the Harlon Hill is the D2 Heisman. The PSAC has had five winners, most notably current ESU head coach Jimmy Terwilliger and Chicago Bears backup Tyson Bagent. This year's nominees:
    Super Region One
    Davis Black QB California
    Rashon Bradford WR Bentley
    Kha'lil Eason KR New Haven
    Colin Johnson QB UNC Pembroke
    Brayden Long QB Slippery Rock
    Maurice Massey WR IUP
    Chavon Wright RB Charleston
    Adrian Prker QB Franklin Pierce
    Jackson Ostrosky QB Lock Haven

Solid list but one doesn't belong. Massey being on this list is very puzzling. pedestrian stats compared to several others at the position. someone must have been lobbying hard there, courtesy nomination.

I’m surprised any of our schools got even a courtesy nominee. Not to say we have no talented players but when I was perusing the conference website’s stats section at the end of the regular season no one really jumped out at me as lighting it up.

Don't they call like 50 players finalists? That's PR stuff.

Make the Final 5 and that's the real 'finalists'

Sounds about right. If you forced me to nominate someone it would probably have been the WR from LHU. Or that guy from Seton Hill who averaged 33 a catch and had a TD on 1/3 of his catches just for the crazy per play value.

There’s more than one that doesn’t belong but agree on Massey. Definitely a great player and passes the “looks good getting off the bus” test, but the resume is weak.

Rock's Brayden Long advances to the finalist section. He and Chevon Wright from Charleston are the SR1 representatives.

                Pretty weak group from SR1.

Wright has a good chance to win it (probably won't) had over 2200 rushing yards and 38 tds

Long finished 5th last year (numbers were better last year (Tds & Yards) than this year

Any idea when the actual final votes were due? That's always a key item.

Chavon Wright for Charleston had 2,235 yds and 38 tds. That's a pretty prolific season, hardly a weak representative. If you want to say competition... against Ashland in the playoffs he had 42 carries for 228 yds and a touchdown. Against Cal he had 126 yds and 3 touchdowns earlier in the year. He's a baller.

Long is better than his numbers showed, but I'd be more on board with you as his numbers are not anything exceptional this season.
