I don't want to post the link because I've been admonished before for posting links that are supposedly proprietary. But it's easy to find on the IUP website. Go to the Alumni tab at the top, go to "Stay Informed", and then go to IUP Magazine and scroll down to the article "The Future of Division II."Originally posted by Tdobson View PostWhat does the cover for that issue of IUP magazine look like? It says on the cover....More Reasons To Celebrate....girl holding some flaming things in front of a ferris wheel....and it says Fall/Winter 2025 on cover.Originally posted by Tdobson View PostWhat does the cover for that issue of IUP magazine look like? The D1 portal window slows it down. A lot of D2 transfers are holding out for an official offer from the perceived greener grass.Originally posted by Tdobson View PostHey thanks, I actually got my IUP magazine yesterday.
This board is quiet over the off season. Any news on IUP moves?
High school signing day (D2) is still a month away. IUP will bring in a lot of players in the coming weeks (typically for Saturday basketball games). They like to do this in the latter half of January as the KCAC has much larger crowds once the students are finally back.
Basketball games during the never-ending winter break are awful, atmosphere-wise.
I can share IUP is heavily active in the transfer market. They don't have a choice this off-season. Lot of holes to fill.

I have a question about this quote from the piece:Originally posted by Matt Burglund View Post
Did Mr. Garzarelli provide any examples of a Power 4 school currently suing the NCAA? As far as I can tell all of the NCAA’s major recent or currently ongoing litigation involve(d) either individual student-athletes, former student-athletes, former coaches, and a smattering of state governments.“The problem is the [NCAA] membership dictates the legislation,” Garzarelli said, “and when a Power 4 school doesn’t like the legislation, they sue the NCAA. They’re suing against the legislation they helped create. Until the membership decides what it wants and how it wants to be governed, the NCAA is going to keep having issues.”“No matter how badly things get blown apart, we will always plant flowers again.”

He was a pretty good wrestler, too. I like that trait in an OL. He's going to add some immediate toughness.Originally posted by iupgroundhog View Post
Looks like a good pickup. IUP will be his 3rd school. He started at Central Michigan. 2x 1st Team All-State in 5A. Bill Fralic award winner.

The 3rd school thing is irrelevant today. It's pretty much the norm.
This is going to be Tort's largest Portal class of his tenure. Let's hope for the best.
Sounds like there is a QB in the mix. There could be some news shortly.
