I believe the Argos are starting 3 true freshman on D, so either they are really darn good or West Florida is having some injury issues.

You're probably right but it may not be serious, sitting out a game gives the body time to heal/recover, meanwhile the 2nd string guys get valuable experience.

The Argos have a history of resting nicked up senior starters and putting in promising freshmen during the regular season to have all of them rested and ready for the postseason. The Argos rotate just about every position on the field except for the kickers and the QB. The coaches have previously talked in interviews about the length of the regular and post season in D2 and the need to spread out the game time to keep players fresh for the postseason as much as they are able.

Don't be surprised to see a lot more of the bigger north-south running seniors RB Johnson and Newton in the post season. Coach Shinnick has been keeping them fresh this season and giving them time at the end of games and in short yardage situations for a change of pace after the defense has been dealing with the shifty and smaller RB Mason all game long. You can tell the coach doesn't like seeing QB Reed running instead of sliding in the regular season from his comments on the weekly coach's show about Reed running in for TDs in the last couple of games. You can also tell that Reed loves to run when he gets the chance and that it fires him and the team up when he breaks off a long one and/or scores a TD.
