I'd love that Harding-UCM matchup. I think that would be the most entertaining matchup you could have in this years playoff.

Rematches don't typically favor the winner, historically speaking in college football. I would definitely like another shot at Harding when it really counts. I have to agree though a Harding/UCM matchup would be wildly entertaining

A win as the 2 seed would result in a home game vs GV/Ferris winner for HardingOriginally posted by OldBison View Post
I wouldn’t mind a first round re-match with OBU. It would be easier to prepare for than a Harding-Ferris or Harding-UCM match up. If we stay the #2 seed and win in the first round, we’re going to have to travel to Pittsburg, KS and play in the Jungle anyway.

Looks like you got proven right for now with the regional rankings. Would a win over Davenport push GVSU over Harding?Originally posted by Divisiontwo View PostIf HU wins out, I’ll be very shocked if they aren’t a top 2 seed.
Davenport's schedule is wild. Undefeated with 2 weeks left in the season, and nobody is giving them a chance for the playoffs because they finish by playing GVSU and Ferris.Passing is a Sin

What gets crazy is if they beat either one of them. What happens to a 2 loss GV or Ferris? Would be fun to find out.Originally posted by BisonBones View Post

Lots of football left. Wouldn’t be shocked if there was an upset in SR3

Two-loss Ferris would be out. I have no idea what would happen in the two-loss GV scenario.Originally posted by OBUGrad View Post

Are you sure? I thought a first round win for a #2 seed would result in a second round match up with the # 1 seed which got a bye in the first round. Doesn’t the winner of the match ups with the 3 and 4 seeds play each other in the 2nd round?Originally posted by Gliac_fan10 View Post

Don’t they try to keep conference opponents away for Rd 1? Plus I think any situation where HU isn’t playing NWMS or Ferris first round is going to be interesting. Washburn was cake a couple years ago, UCM sill get exposed asOriginally posted by OldBison View PostIf Harding finishes the season as 3rd seed in SR3, they would probably host Ouachita or Central Missouri assuming UIndy, Pitt, GVS, Ferris and CM all win out.
well.

I don’t think it’s possible though, plane ride to Ferris. NCAA won’t fly first couple rounds if they don’t have to.Originally posted by OldBison View Post

Harding’s stable of RB’s and slots are too good. I don’t see anyone blunting their run game, the QB seems to be reading really well- although I’m not crazy focused on his read keys. With 1 week to prepare, I don’t think anyone in the country can stop a Harding offense that’s firing on all cylinders. The defense looks even better- dudes that are playing unselfish football that don’t make a ton of mistakes and can get to the QB. It reminds me of the 2016 team with how deep the D line is.

1 plays winner of 4/unseeded and winners of 2/unseeded and 3/unseeded play each other. They do not change that to avoid flights second round.Originally posted by OldBison View Post

A first-round home game with UIndy would be interesting. I remember when we beat them at their place in 2017. Our QB scored a TD from 25 yards out in the 4th quarter to give us the 27-24 win. Al McKeller was their RB. I think he ended up transferring to NWMSU.

I actually think the Dline is the weak spot on defense thus year. Granted I just watched the Ouachita and SAU game.

They didn’t play great against SAU. But 5 sacks against OBU says they played pretty well there.Originally posted by OBUGrad View Post
