Joe Bettasso can pretty much kiss his chance of being the next HC good bye. The D is atrocious....flat out embarrassing. Not saying that this stretch of games is easy at all....But there has been no improvement what so ever since he took over, and the D has been bad all year long.

Not even sure Id keep the guy as an LB coach.

He is in a tough spot. Either take over as HC with the task of trying to polish a turd or be out of a job mid-season.

From a coaching aspect, Sims is a darn good head coach but don't expect him to have much success recruiting in Kansas at all. Not that he is totally loved in Missouri either. With that said he will still find kids from all over and probably hit the Juco's really hard. Probably will have some success recruiting in St. Louis since Sims is from there.

Their last two winning seasons ... drilling Pitt State in Pittsburg - Wasn't so bad ... And another thing, who was the last Kansas high school kid who helped Missouri Southern? Kent Shorten in the 90's?

See, THAT makes no sense w/ five of the best HS programs in the state in Southwest Missouri ... But when you'll have Sims coming in (presumably) along with NEO in your backyard to recruit from ... a mix of JUCO and HS recruits makes sense ... Even Daye brought in some HS kids ... just not locals ...
