Daye was away f/ the program FAR too much his last year there, leaving too much in the hands of his assistants, and lead to the downturn in talent ... Daryl had issues to take care of regarding the health of his parents, which led him to leave Southern to go to NSU, not bolt as you state, but you do you ... Again, I can't see a full-on JUCO route ... Even Daye didn't do that.

Defend him all you want he did your program no favors. It only looks like he did due to how bad the Moso football program is has has been for a decade or more.

I miss the days when the game between Pitt and Moso meant something.

See, THAT makes no sense w/ five of the best HS programs in the state in Southwest Missouri ... But when you'll have Sims coming in (presumably) along with NEO in your backyard to recruit from ... a mix of JUCO and HS recruits makes sense ... Even Daye brought in some HS kids ... just not locals ...

How big are those high school programs?

No I was thinking of a whole rogue program motif. Not that far from Jasper. Sell beer at the games. Let Daulton bounce if the fans get out of control!

Joplin isn't even top 10 in their class . Cassville, pierce City, and Mt Vernon are, though.

Joplin isn't even top 10 in their class . Cassville, pierce City, and Mt Vernon are, though.

Joplin is in the final four this year in their class, which is 6a, not 5a

I knew they were class 6, but didn't realize they got hot in the playoffs. Their running back is a beast.

He said programs so I was trying to pull schools that have done well over a period of time. Cassville has and thought about them. Mt. Vernon wouldn't be classified as one of the best in the State, imo. Pierce City is just too small and they really haven't done anything State wide that I can remember, again imo.

It didn't seem right when I put Joplin as the same class as Carthage. Should have known.
