Wright looked really rusty. Cat Defense gave up some big passes. Holding penalties and turnovers killed MoWest. CB blitz sack was momentum changer. Northwest finally figured out not to kick it to the fast kid. Grif QB looked good at times, especially throwing downfield. NW did not fold when MoWest went ahead.

After reading news, I see 3 of four D-backs were out of game injured.

Yes it was. I figured it would be close, but I was also expecting a significantly lower score all around. MoWest should be proud of their team. It appears to have improved over last year and will be fun to watch their progression during the season. It is because of games like this that I am glad I subscribe to the MIAA Network.

Great game and atmosphere tonight. Other than the climb back up tge hill Spratt Stadium is a great venue for a game... especially a rivalry. Thanks for the fun tonight and enjoy the season!

MW...Holmes, Griffith, Wheeler and Vaval are all lightning in a bottle. Nobody and I mean NOBODY should kick to Vaval the rest of the season. Smith and Thompson are a talented 1-2 punch at RB. If MW doesn't make the costly mistakes tonight, they win. No doubt about it.

NW...Rankin is the real deal and should stay on the field except for brief rests. If not, it's a waste of his talent. Wright needs to be better, by A LOT. NW needs to throw to Andrews more. Donadelle could be really good. Defense is not what it has been and backside is horrid. Special teams coverage terrible.
