The key is to have enough punters that no matter where he sprays it, someone is in position to catch it.

Actually you are showing your age.............the old single-wing had two people to receive the snap and they were at about 5 yards depth. Just a FYI!

We had a high school in our area, Polo MO, that ran this every year. Watching it, if executed well, was entertaining and initially confusing.

Back in the early 60's, under Earl Baker, that is what NWMSU ran.

The Lamar offense is fun to watch. I saw them play in the state championship at The Dome in St. Louis. It's a nightmare for the defense with all the motion and deception. Reminds me of the old single wing with the spinner back and all the faking. I'm sure the defense had a hard time figuring out who had the ball. Parkhill HS in KC used to run the single wing to perfection back in 70's (or so I hear....haha).
